Hi there! Ive been searching the forum since I signed up this morning. (Hello hello) The info Ive found here has been so useful! Its nice to know that Im not alone in this. Just some background info... Back in 2000 I had some debt issues that have since gone to collections and one almost went to court. (which im settling and will be paid off in OCT- FINALLY :D ) Since then I now have about $6500 worth of CC debt and just cant keep up the payments. This is the first month Ive been late since they were opened.

I am interested in hearing about the experiences of anyne who has dealt with United Cash Loans, or Pinion Management for that matter. UCL has been horrible to me and I am curious to know if that is their usual way of doing things.

I haven't been able to sleep properly for days now because of these calls. I looked at the fdcpa.html page and what I need to do to report this. I am also copy and pasting the record I wrote down after the calls were made. Adam called at 5:20, I asked to not use the cell phone and disconnected. He called back immediately from an unlisted line. I said that i wasn't willing to discuss this now. He didn't take that and kept me on the line, managing to totally piss me off into an outburst.

Hi, This collection company purchased a 4-year-old charged-off cc debt of mine in the amount of $3362. I didn't dispute the debt, or ask for validation when I got the first letter from them in May. A few days ago, they sent me a second letter saying they are assigning my account to an investigator in my area since I haven't cooperated with them. The debt was accumulated in Georgia where the SoL is 4 years and now I live in Minnesota and the SoL is 6 years. They offered to settle for half the amount in the first letter and I'm aware of the IRS consequences of doing that.

Recall reading somewhere, about collection agencies NOT being covered by the No Call lists. I think I got even with a CA recently!! Had a call from an unknown person, with computer generated phone number. And a second call from someone who did NOT speak English, as the caller was extremely difficult to understand. Both calls included the statement that SOUNDED like they said that this WAS a sales call. Well....I reported the number provided, to both local and national Do Not Call lists.

Hi all - this site has been very informative for me. Long story short I have gotten into a bit of a mess with 4 PDls, Arrowhead Investments, Northway (Cashtransfercenters), little loan shoppe and worldwidecash. I want to send them letters revoking automatic debits and wage garnishments. I live in California and fear I may have overpaid them also. Does anyone have samples of what I should say?
