Has n e one heard of the phone # 1-888-778-8213?

I have been reading your site for a while and decided to join today. I have questions regarding two of the payday loans I currently have and their relationship to North Carolina. One is ameriloan for $300 (they want $480.) One is with CTC $1836. CTC has threatened to serve papers at work and has contacted my personnel department by email. I have read today to send them a letter with a wage assignment revokation letter and a request to have all correspondence by US Mail. Does anyone have an address that I can send that to by certified mail?

I just recieved a very disturbing rude phone call from assett acceptance about a debt from 1996 that I do/did not know about. My question is the account was started in Alabama when I was 18 supposedly, since then I have moved to Florida and now Louisiana. What state do I go by for the statue of limitations? Also is there some type of etiquette that collection agencies have to follow? Thank you for your help I anticipate your reply. Frustrated

If you're using a consolidation company (like T&C) for payday loans and credit cards, how does this affect your credit report? Does it lower your score a lot, and do they all show up as being sold to a debt company? Or will I have 9 creditors showing as unpaid until I finish with T&C? Any input would be appreciated! :)

I have received two letters collecting payment from Asset Acceptance. The problem is that I pay a company last year and I was told that this debt was payed. What are my rights and who can I talk to? I also did some research on the internet and this seems to be a common problem for this company.
