Does anyone have any information regarding this company? Were there ever any threads discussing this company? I've looked around but haven't had any luck. The BBB doesn't give a positive review of their services, hence I'd like to find out more about them. Thank you. Johnny

Just noticed an inquiry on my credit report by Plaza Associates...is anyone familiar with them? Who do they typically collect for?

Does anybody have any advice about how I should go about contacting my PDL people. I have been communicating with a credit counselor about consolidating and getting these paid off through payment arrangements. Should I call them or should I send out letters. I want to make them aware of the block I'm putting on my account before the next payment is due so I don't get any calls to my job or home. Does anybody have a sample letter on what I can send to inform them of my consolidation and payment arrangements.

I had a VERY bad year last year. One of my parents were terminally ill. They live in northern Illinois, I live in South Floriday. I was traveling back and forth for several months until the agony for her was over. And then, Hurricane Wilma decided to wipe her a path thru South Florida, yet causing more chaos in my life (as well as causing many others chaos..definitely not alone :wink: ) In that time, I got caught in the whirlpool of Payday loans. Ended up having about 14 of them. HOW? I have no idea how this was allowed.

so far one pdl is willing to work with me and let me send a small payment in! woohoo! and they going to let me do it via money order! woohoo. waiting on replies from companies if they will let me do the money order or western union option. Crystal

hey fsm told me my loan has been sent to a c/a and i'd hear from this week. i sent an email back asking who they sent it to. so who do they usually send deliquent accounts too? what will be the best way to deal with the c/a when they call. since fsm didn't want to deal with me or the d/c i was trying to go through.

I have been thinking of trying to get into a debt consolidation program to get me out of this mess that I'm sure a lot of you are all too familiar with :cry: . Anyway, my question is.....how will getting into this type of program affect my credit report/rating? We would like to sell our house and buy something else, but are all of the late payments that are probably already reported to the credit bureaus along with being in a consolidation program going to ruin our chances of purchasing another house anytime soon? My husband's credit is good.

Earlier this year, approximately in February of 2006, I thought I paid one of my First Premier credit cards off. When I paid that last time, the lady said that the account would be paid in full. Well, a couple of months after that I received a phone call saying that I owed $50 something dollars on this very same account. I told her that the account had been paid in full and she told me that when I had paid that amount in February I had left a $2-3 amount on the card.
