So I get to work last night and check my emails from them and there's one that says they overpaid me from two pay periods ago and they are going to deduct that from my next check...to the tune of $900! They EMAIL me to tell me this on the friday night before pay period ends so I can't do anything about it! They say "if this will cause a financial hardship, we'll deduct $250 every two weeks til it's paid off, just sign the form and fax it back asap!" WTF! I looked over my pay stubs, and they are right. I changed jobs with a pay cut (long story!) and they continued to pay me.

Okay, this is for all those people without checking accounts. I have five payday loans which I can't afford to pay anymore. I am thinking about closing my checking account and just not having a checking account at all. I have been in trouble before with payday loans so I don't trust myself with a bank account. My question is: where do you go to have your check cashed?

I am 22 and in debt. I am wondering what I should do. I owe 13000 in credit card debt. I make the payments everymonth and they are over the minium but of course they aren't going down. Is there an end to this nightmare??

I guess my next question is which PDL companies are licensed in my state? Where can I find this info? Thanks for the help!

if i settle for one lumpsum payment how will this affect my fico score or credit report

Ok, I finally got ahold of an attorney to talk to about GC Services. About a month ago, I posted about a collector named Eddie who was calling my co-workers and telling them he's going to garnish my wages. Then about a week later, I got a bill for .01. (One cent.) I got ahold of a guy here in Columbus who specializes in collection law. I meet with him on June 2. We'll see how it goes. Anyone have any ideas on what I should bring with me when I meet him? Think positive for me! :)

I live in Delaware. I want to know what the laws are regarding PDL's in my state. Where can I find this info? I have tried searching using Payday loan laws in Delaware, but no luck. I know that a lot of banks and credit card companies are based out of DE so it doesn't seem promising that things that work for so in other states will work for me. Thanks for the help.

Actually recieved a reply from Plaza Associates today. Regarding the DV letter sent a while back. They state, in part: This is in response to your recent communication. We have noted this file and will cease further collection activity. Accordingly, we are closing our file in this matter and will return this account to creditor mentioned. Any questions regarding credit report should be addressed to the creditor, listed above, as we DO NOT? report to the credit bureaus in any form or fashion. Persoanlly, I'm kinda surprised they replied.

Since I have such a big problem with payday loans, I have decided to not have a checking account. Can anyone give me a listing of some check cashing services?
