Hello, i have three payday loans wich i cannot pay back at the moment. One of them is with Horizon Cash Advance. I have closed my bank account and was wondering if they will take me to court. I would like to set up a payment plan but dont know if online companies like Horizon will do that. Has anyone here had any dealings with Horizon Cash Advance? As i said i have every intention of paying them back but cannot do it all at once. Any advice would be appreciated.

Greetings, I've just recently consolidated a very delinquent student loan using the William D. Ford Loan Consolidation Program. I was told to use the income contingent based debt repayment plan however, after just receiving my payment schedule the payments are on the high side, and feel that they are more than I can afford at the moment (they are about twice as much as I anticipated paying).

I was sued by a law firm for a debt from Bank Of America, BUT, the court papers that I am being sued for acct # xxxx xxxx xxxx 7070. They did not file against the fullaccount number. Is this legal??? I have responded to the lawsuit inquiries.

halsted initially sent me a letter about my hsbc account asking me to pay a settlement or they will review my assets and determination to file suit will be made blah blah blah. Couple of weeks later a law firm called me, really rude, so i told them to go fly a kite. They kept wanting me to pay, but i didn't have any money to give them. all of my income goes towards my bills. I don't have any assets so i knew they couldnt do anything. But today i went to withdraw money from my account and i was told my bank account was FROZEN!! how could that be? my bank is not an asset??

Hi all. Hoping for some advice. I know I have made a few mistakes with this debt (other than having the debt in the first place) Owe Discover $9000. Had multiple debts, so went with debt settlement company and stopped paying everyone in 2009. That was a scam and did not work out. Tried mulitple times to settle with Discover and the attorney all to no avail. I have read here that Discover can be difficult. Was served in April 2010 and missed my chance to submit DV..huge mistake. I also did not understand the summons and never answered it. No judgement was taken at that time.

I am 43000 in debt with credit cards and Co signed loans with family members. I spoke to freedom debt and it all sounds good. Not sure what to do after reading all these complaints. This is first month I am behind on 2 loans. Any suggestions?

This is regarding calls from Fairway Collections representing Check-n-Go. I had a $3k loan from Check-n-Go and made 2 payments before I had to close my checking account because I was getting overwhelmed. Regardless, I got a call from Fairway Collections that wanted me to pay $3112 off in either 12 or 24 payments which I said was too high. I negotiated down to 30 payments of $103.80 and put $105 on a cash card so they wouldn't have access to my checking account.

Now I was hoping for some more help as they are trying to contact me even after I sent the ???revoking ACH withdrawal??? letter. How should I respond?

Got some random call today from Cedar Falls, Iowa? Luckily enough for me I have the White Pages App installed. I ignored the call (like I do with all foreign numbers that show up as "unknown.") I doa reverse phone number look-up. Turns out it's CBE Group Inc. from Cedar Falls, IA. I have never heard of this company before, until reading this article. The only "debt" I owe is to my student loan provider. Obviously, I already have a payment plan set up through the loan provider. I'm waiting to see if CBE calls back. They have yet to leave a message. 319-242-7350 is the number that called me.
