I have been receiving phone calls at work from collection agencies. Most times when I get them I say that I am a supervisor and that the person they are calling for (really me) is not allowed to get personal phone calls. Today Arrow finacial called (not even a name I recognize as being one of the collection agencies associated with my accounts). They asked to speak with the Human Resources department if they couldn't speak with me. I asked what it was regarding and they just asked for the HR department again. I just hung up. Why would they want the HR department?
I have quite a few incorrect address on my report (wrong spelling, wrong number, places I haven't lived). How important is it to dispute these items? Is it worth sitting on hold for hours it seems to get those removed from my report?
So recently I was looking at my credit report and saw a collection agency listed as unifund corp. First off credit card company did a charge off awhile back of 2500 dollars. Now according to Unifund they have it listed at 4600 and it rises on my credit report each month. I have yet to be contacted by this company via any mail. I have not heard one phone call from a company called Unifund. I have received a few recording calls from an agency asking me to call back but never a live person.
