I got a summons in the mail today from a city I used to live in 5 years ago (2001) Wwe moved in April 2001 so we never refived a bill for the personal property taxes. I got a letter about a month ago notifying me owing the back taxes. I called the treasury department and they said they don't prorate taxes. We only lived there from January - April 2001. I only owe $169. I want to pay this but cannot until June 16. The court appearance is June 22. My question is should I call the court or treasurers office and tell them I can pay these taxes on June 16.

Sections 408.500, 408.505, and 408.506 make up the entire law concerning payday loans (a.k.a. “small, small loans”) which are loans of $500 or less. Such lenders must be licensed by the Division of Finance.

Dear Sir, for months I have been harassed with "person to person" and messaging phone calls from allied interstate. The problem is I dont owe any institution any money except for my home own that is a automatic withdrawal from my own bank checking acct. Who do I go too when I don't own anyone any money? HOW on earth did the scum bags find out my number? :?: :?: I know my employer did not give it to them, I know that my friends and family did not give it to them, because they don't have their new numbers either or their names (....I don't think) The scum buckets left me a message on my phone and it freaked me out.

I am educated/degreed and had a great job, for many years. I had a big, beautiful home, with nice furniture, and an inground swimming pool. I even had a ski boat. I owned a Mercedes and other nice cars. My diamond ring was almost 2 carats. I traveled the US and outside the country. I bought new clothes, monthly. Now, I am unemployed. I have been for 5 years. I no longer have a home. I am homeless, and living with a friend(who has loud,messy, disrepectful kids)My furniture is in storage. The ski boat and Mercedes were sold long ago. I sold my rings to pay bills. I never go swimming anymore.

Does Asset ever sell a debt they purchased? Does Asset have a way of finding out if debtor can pay his debt? Is Asset a CA or JDB? Thanks.

Ok i guess i messed up. It said in the contract with cash transfer centers that they do not work with debt consolidation companies. I did not see that at the time. Now they say i have 7 days to come up with the repayment of 400.00 plus fees. Totaling 566.00. Any suggestions as to how to handle this? I do not have the money to give them, and they said they will garnish my wages!!! Any help on this would be appreciated.

I had a debt from Discover Financial validated. The only thing that was sent to me was copies of statements for the past 5 years along with a letter asking for the balance to be remitted in full. Also, the balance that they are asking for is different than the full balance on the last statement. What should I do next? I am a student and can't afford to pay the entire balance of $7,986.40. Should I write to them and ask them to work out some sort of payment plan? I am very afraid that they will they take me to court over this matter? Any help is appreciate. Thank you.
