Hi all, Sometimes small things make a huge difference. I generally look out for things that can make my life simple and easy. Just like Debtcc, which makes life easy going by giving simple ideas for a debt free life; I found something interesting at MortgageFit- that's their budgeting tool. I looked into other sites for such a tool but didn't find them helpful enough. Just to have a look at it, I downloaded the MF Budgeting tool and now I find it's really helpful. Thought I could share this with you all.

Allstate Financial has called me 3 times today and ...of course...told me they don't have to give me payment info to give me for a credit card debt charged off in 2003. Does anyone have an address for this company so I can send a verification letter to them?

Anyone have any recent information on Sonic payday. Is any legal action being taken against them? Any class action lawsuits? Do they ever sue in small claims court? I'm in limbo with them right now since my payroll dept rejected their phony wage assignment/demand letter. Any information will be helpful.

I have a small claims judgement against me. It was just recently filed against me (less than 2 weeks ago). I have offered to make payments to satisfy it, but instead I am being taken back to court for a "preceeding supplemental". I am not employeed, but do receive child support. I am married and my husband's income covers bills, food, clothing, etc. I own my car. I have 3 kids, and need my car. I cannot afford to loose it due to this judgement.

What a bummer - I was feeling pretty good today after GECC (PDL) wrote my account off to zero/paid in full. Then I checked my new checking account and saw there was an unauthorized debit for $56 for Greyhound Bus ticket in Dallas, TX!! I live in Virginia and never been to Dallas, let alone Texas in my whole life. I immediately called the bank to dispute the ACH Debit - the rep asked me if I ever been to Texas I said this was done last night or early this morning. The bank is sending me an affidavit to fill out to dispute and I have to get a new card. Boy am I MAD!!

I have been hearing conflicting statements while reading this post. 1) In North Carolina, PDLs are illegal whether they are in state out of state or over the Internet. 2) If the lender is out of the country, they may have laws that are exclusive to them. I have a loan with ICS and when I took it out, I was told that if I defaulted, then I would be held under London law. Then I find out that ICS is the same company that is also based in DE. Can someone please set the record straight?
