I have 6 outstanding PDLs, some online and some through local stores, and I already contacted T & C, but here's the problem. First of all, to spare the details, my bank account is in the negative. My bank will not help me at all, I cannot close the account until my balance is in the positive, I cannot put stops on any of the ACHs unless my account is in the positive and I pay $39 each and I cannot "freeze" the account of all debits. So my account just keeps getting worse and worse and worse because of the PDL places putting their debits through.

How can I find out everyone that I owe money to?

I posted the original topic of my debt being paid off finally somewhere and I can't find it. So here's a new one. A couple of months ago I contacted the US Dept of Ed to find out how much I owe on my student loans. Once I filed my taxes, the entire amounts were paid off. About a month ago I get a call at work from a guy who says he is from the US dept of ed and says that I still owe $40 and change.

I discovered that the account that went to judgement was purchased by a collection attorney. He then proceeded to take it to court and was awarded a judgement. My question since this item was purchased by the collection attorney can the original creditor (Service Merchandise) also have a negative listing on my credit report? Would this be considered a duplicate listing? By the way, the first contact I had with the collection attorney was when the court papers were served. Was he not required to contact me?

Hello everyone! I received a summons yesterday and I would like to find out what my next move is. I was unemployed for some time and couldn't make any payments to them, but now that I am getting back on track I would like to take care of this myself without it going to the courts or wage garnishment.
