Ok, I posted last night in my "Midland" thread that they offered me a 50% off deal... But thinking about it more...This was a collection for Aspire... Aspire is not listed on my experian CR..I'm not sure about the other 2, I'll need to look, I have them in a folder at work, because that's where I spend the majority of my time. So if the collector is listed on my CR, but not the original creditor, do you think I could get Midland off my report after I pay it?

I have received a notice that says "Automated Voice Message Notification" Call 1-800-831-8706". Has anyone heard of this? Thx.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a letter I can send to the PDL companies informing them that I am working T&C and to contact them with any questions? I know that T&C has mailed out proposals to all the companies and they say that they have called the ones that keep calling me but I am really getting frustrated with all these calls. I think Loan Mart keeps calling but they don't leave any messages and the calls come up as "unavailable #".The only reason I think it is them is I answered one of the calls and is was Loan Mart,problem is I was on my cell phone and lost them.

I would like to complain against debt consolidation Care. They call me EVERYDAY and I have never contacted them and I am on the Do Not Call list. I have no debt to consolidate. STOP CALLING ME. mudhen

I just read on a website that NCO financial is being sued for leaving messages on answering machines that state "call this number immediately regarding an important business matter" (something like that). Apparently it is considered misleading because it sounds like a business matter, not an attempt to collect a debt. I have had that same message left on my machine a dozen times...Allied Interstate uses that same verbage on their answering machine messages. So, it will be interesting to see where this goes. The suit was filed in NY on March 28th.

I read on a website that paying an account that is in collections does not improve your credit rating at all. I have some accounts that have recently, within the past year been turned over to collections, and will be trying to get them paid off real soon. Is it true that my credit rating will not improve? That does not make any sense. They are definitely within the SOL, so paying them will start it over, but it should still look better, shouldn't it?

Found this website CollectionIndustry.com, and it has forums, one of which you can post questions to collectors (i.e. questions about policies and procedures,etc)Might be something interesting to try, see what kind of responses we get.

My story is that last summer i took out some pay day loans.I've received a call from some companies a few have been really nasty with me like taylor,james and associates. I want to set up small payment arrangements because my paychecks are like 300 dollars every two weeks. How can I find out who I've taken loans from. I was considering calling T&C Consolidation but can someone give me some advice on how to find all the loans I took out last summer and the best way to clear it up reasonably. Any help you have will be great!
