Wow, there seems to be massive amount of information out there regarding debt consolidation. I'm actually a recent college graduate and I just can not handle the amount of credit card payment/loans that I have to make. What is a good debt consolidation company that you would recommend? There seems to be a lot of scams out there and I'm just worried since I really do not know ANYTHING about debt consolidation. Thank you very much for all your help!

I just recently did a debt settlement and has not been processed completely yet. What if I now have a career and my equity level is much better? Will the settlement offer still apply? Or will I have to pay the full amount of my debt? Is it also really bad credit to do this?

Has anyone heard of Rotlan, Weinberg, and Reed?? I'm not sure if they are a collection agency, or attorneys. Sounds like a law firm, but ya never know. For the past two days they have left a generic message on my answering machine requesting a call back. They don't say who they are in the message. I only know because I called the 1-800 number after hours to see if an answering service could identify them. I'm not sure of the spelling. Could be something close to Rotlan, Weinberg, and Reed. I've tried to look them up on the net, bbb site etc.

Well it's been over 2 months I've been on CCCS/MMI consolidation program. I do not find them very efficient but I'd like to hear from other people who use other ones like T&C. Hello all, I have posted a couple of time, but tonight I am still shaking from the call I answered. I don't understand why the rudeness, the hateful tone, and the talking not allowing me to say anything. I recieved a call from ACS 800-220-0605 215-320-0424 (per caller ID). This has been on my caller ID for about two weeks, with message for a return call regarding the letter they have mailed. I just happen to be home tonight when they called, so I answered.... MISTAKE.

I am furiously reasearching to figure out if internet lenders are bound by payday laws in our states (For me its Florida) or by the state/country that the company is in. I have found that Florida has a $500 cap on loan amounts and a 10%+$5 fee for interest. If the lenders must abide by my states laws, I have paid most of my lenders off several times over. I am trying to find information on whether Florida requires lenders who lend to Floridians also to be licensed in Florida.

I am actually planning to do a debt consolidation with Credit Solutions and it sounds too good to be true. From what they are stating, my debt will be cut in half. I actually do NOT have bad credit but my debt to equity is very high and I just can not handle making 700-800 dollars in payments each month so I decided to consolidate it. I have made payments and I have not missed any. So my current credit score is somewhere around 700 I believe. How does the process work with consolidation? Will my credit score actually be lowered by a lot because of consolidation?
