I recently received a collection notice from Encore Receivable Management Inc that was for money I allegedly owed EXCEL TELECOMMUNICATIONS. This amount, however small (less than $60), was something I absolutely KNOW is NOT owed. When I had EXCEL as my long distance carrier ALL my phone charges were paid thru my "local" billing carrier -- VERIZON. In discussing this matter by phone with two staff members at ENCORE ... a Nora Opercio and a Kristine Campo ...

Ok I purchased my 3 in 1 credit report this morning with the monthly monitoring. I just can't stand not knowing what's going on from day to day --- anyway. I cringed but clicked on the credit score button and when I finally opened my eyes I couldn't believe it!! All three of my scores went back up between 90 and 120 points!! WOOHOO!! I haven't even gone through the whole process of disputing everything (I have done 1 so far and that takes 30 days)so I am hoping that within the next two months or so everything will be right where it should be and I can continue the clean up from there!!

I keep getting calls from 321-206-4136 from a male with a heavy accent, stating that I should know why he is caling and when am I going to pay my bill. I advised him that I have no idea who he is, he then stated I am rude and hung up! I called back and he did it again. Does anyone know of these idiots? He says it is United Federal Bank. I have never heard of them.

Hello, I recently got a phone call from Midland Credit saying I owed (this amount) for a old Fingerhut account. They want me to either make $100 a month payments to pay the bill off or they gave me a settlement of $1, 130.51 to pay by the end of the month. I told the lady I could do monthly payments but coudn't pay $100 mth. She then asked me if we rented or owned a home then when I told her we rented she asked if my husband had a retirement fund we could get the money from or ask a relative.

Greeting All, Is there a way to get the balance amount down on my credit cards for a full payoff without the use of a debt consolidation company? I've been a member here for a couple months and went through the process with a debt rep that I received through this great site etc.etc. I discussed the debt settlement and debt management programs which seemed much better of course since they are able to get the balance amount or payoff much lower because this is their business.

I got a call in late December from Javitch Block and Rathbone out of Cleveland in regards to a JC Penney accoutn with a balance of 1517.00. I have since joined a credit counseling program and have made two payments but they were not included as she told me they would not accept it at this law office so I set up a payment arrangement of 130 each month. I mailed a payment in January and they called me today to say the never got it and they are sueing me now unless I pay it in full I tol them I couldnt and now I wonder what I can do. What will this law suit do, do police come to the door?
