YAY! Loan #1 is out of the picture. I just called them though, and asked for them to send me a letter, stating I have a zero balance. The lady said, "I have no way to fax that to you." I said, "Can't you mail it?" She said, "No." She also said they can't e-mail it to me either. Should I mail them some sort of demand letter that I get a statement showing I owe them nothing else?? It scares me after reading the horror stories here that they'll try to screw me over later...

Has any anyone out there dealt with United Christian Financial? Thinking about doing my debt cosolidation with them and i would like some input. Thanks much. :)

hello. i am looking for a little info on my credit situation and information on how to try to fix my credit. First i got a free credit report from Experian that said i had 2 points of bad credit from 2001. it also said i had a PLUS Score of 601. now of the 2 bad credit hits i might be able to pay off 1 which doesn't seem to have been charged off. the other one which is charged off i would not be able to pay of anytime soon 2-3 years mainly because my money situation is very tight at the moment. i have nothing in my name except one small card.

I fear my parents are getting in deep credit card debt. They really don't have any assets except for their life insurance. Will credit card companies use their life insurance to get payment for the debts?

I got a letter today from a law office-Weltman, Weinberg, and Reis Co. L.P.A....says they are trying to collect on an account for LVNV Funding Inc, which I have never heard of. I am going to send a validation letter out tomorrow because it has no info on the original creditor or anything. I am also going to include a note to correspond with me only by mail, and to not call me....is that a good idea, or will they immediately retaliate and sue me since they can't call and harrass me? Has anyone heard of this LVNV funding,and shouldn't I have heard from them first, instead of an attorney?

I'm nosy, I'll admit it. Just wondering what kind of work people around here do. I am in retail. Currently a store manager for a mattress company. I work very long hours with the general public, and the world is lucky that I have an even temper and a good attitude. (Most of the time..By the time I get off work sometimes I'm totally out of patience and will take it out on whoever bothers me first. :) But at least I wait to get home. :-P) What's the stupidest stuff you have to put up with? Any of you who may have bought bedding recently knows it's not cheap.

I owe $40,000 to the IRS for back taxes from 2000-2003. $4,600 to a valid creditor that recently sued for and won wage garnishment effective Jan 1 2006. A host of other debts from various past creditors totaling appx $3,000. And recently owe $1,800 total base value to paycheck advance companies. I had to close my checking account because I could no longer pay the payday advance companies with the new wage garnishment. I had started using payday companies in May of 2005 and have been paying a good portion of my take home pay to these sharks since then. How did this happen?

Good evening all, An update on the ERS matter as well as the incorrect name. I did send letters, CM-RRR and recieved both reciepts. Letters were sent Dec 18, 2005. As of today, Jan 28, 2006, I have NOT recieved any reply from either company in question.
