Hello, newbie here!! How is everyone? In doing a "scam" search I bumped into this site. GREAT TOPIC!!!! Question. Has anyone ever dealt with a company called Loan Alliance? I searched all the scam sights, but so far found nothing durrogatory. They seem to be affiliated with moneynet.co.uk I also did a scam search on the above website, and also found nothing bad about them. Which is good, but, I can't find anything concerning Mr and Mrs Bellinton.

Alot of people have asked this question on this board,so here is brief explanation of who and when you can be taken to court for bad debt; Once a debt is older than the statute of limitations for debt in your state, a debt collector no longer has the right to sue you for payment. You may still have a moral obligation to pay back the debt, but you can't be sued over it. The best way to handle a collection call for an old debt is to say as little as possible. Don't agree to pay.

This list may help some of you,who are wondering why a Ca that you dont know is calling, or shows up on your CR,they are called junk buyers. "Junk Debt Buyers" are collection agencies that purchase bad debt. They are working for themselves because they now own the debt. "Contingency" collection agencies work as agents for another company to collect a debt. A junk debt buyer may also be in the contingency collection business or they may contract with a contingency agency.

Okay, as you all know, I have been disputing the credit bureas. as I stated, I had gotten one back from transunion for me and one back from Equifax for husband. Well, today I got the other one back from Transunion on husband. Three items were deleted from his report. Two accounts were in my name only, yet were showing up on his report (transunion took them off equifax did not), and the third was two listings of the same account. Okay on the dell accounts that I asked them to investigate.

Does anyone know the number 902-474-3877? It is registered to a Menacs Worldwide in NS Canada, but is an agency that provides telecommunications of other companies. Any idea of who is now outsourcing their communications? Or am I way off base with this one?

This morning I was being badgered by a MR. Joe Rain of Jacobi and Mayors. At first I had to laugh, I mean ripping of an accident law firm and all. This was through a past due debt from a FSM payday loan.... I know I shouldn't have done it! (The inital voice mail stated I had to promptly call otherwise I should get an attorney for this matter.) Isn't threating over the phone a crime? Anyway Mr. Rain told me that Criminal Charges were already being downloaded into my state's system and he was unsure if her could stop it.

I need to find out specifically how to interpret the SOL on credit card accounts in Illinois. My account first became delinquent in November 2000, when I was unemployed, and charged off sometime after that. In 2002, I began making small payments ($50) to the agency that purchased the account, but never again made the required minimum payment. Did the small payments restart the SOL? I stopped making payments April 2005, due to unemployment, and although I have a temp job, I am not in the position to make payments yet.

Well I had worked 3 1/2 years for a credit bureau did my best to establish good credit, then in the end of 2004 I went through a divorce and lost my house and job, now I am on SSI Disability and I still enjoy helping people with credit problems to this day I post at several forums, sometimes I am gone for periods due to my mental illness. Since the divorce my credit has unfortunately turned for the worse and I will not be attempting credit repair at this time, since most of the debt is within the SOL, even though I know my income is non-garnishable.
