Ok I know a CA can offer to settle an account with you. I also know there is a provision that allows them to report it to the IRS as income for you. What I dont know, is that determined by a percentage or a monetary value?? (i.e if you save 60% or $400 dorllars or more)? does any one know hat Im getting at here?

I received a call from superior debt settlement last week. The gentleman was nice and we spent almost an hour on the phone discussing my options. Couple things I want to verify 1) He said since I am current on my bills, I will need to stop paying them before they can start the process.

Maybe we should have a new forum on this board started,listing all the these advance payment loan scams.That way when people find this forum,they can go directly to,THESE LOANS ARE SCAMS for example.We can add them as we find out thier new names.Its getting hard to keep up with them,since there seem to be so many now.The following is a list of some I found posted on this board,I may have missed a few.These are all scams,they will ask for money upfront for the loan,either by Western Union or money order.Do not send these people money,you will get nothing in return.There are many sad stories on

Back in March, I had charges on my bank statement in excess of $2400 that I did not make. I went to the bank and filed fraudulent charges and did the applicable affidavits, etc. The bank took 3 months to complete their process, and determined that these were indeed fraudulent charges. Now, this collection agency is sending me letters and demanding that I make payment. I contacted them and gave them the information regarding fraud charges, and the results of the bank's investigation. They still continue to harass me.
