Hello. I'm just curious to know how often creditors (credit cards in particular) sue for non-payment?? I've read so may conflicting opinions. Some say they rarely sue, while others say after about 9 months they will generally sue. I'm in a debt settlement program. I have 7 cards with about $40,000 in debt. 2 of the accounts have been settled for about 50% of what I actually owed. It's the other 5 I'm worried about.

Well I got a call from United Legal Corporation today. This is where Rio Resources sent my loan that I have defaulted on. When I spoke to the women today; Cindy Jones (I think a collection agents change there name for there own safety) she stated that I owe them $300 and that she could do 3 payments, etc. I explained that I wanted her to validate the debt and then I would call her back. Well then she begin to ask questions if I had $300, blah, blah, blah. We can do three payments, ets. I explained that our bank account was frozen and then she said we accept credit cards. Dont have it.

This afternoon I tried to contact Sonic Payday regarding money that I owe them. This is after sending two or three emails stating my wishes about repayment. After telling the "operator" that I wished to speak with someone in the payments department, she asked me if I was calling from the U.S. or Canada. After telling her that I was calling from the U.S., she transferred me. The phone just rang and rang. I eventually had to hang up because my other phone was ringing. I was wondering if anyone else had problems getting in touch with Sonic. Kathy

I have a friend (not me really a friend) that has been getting mail from NCO Financial Systems, Inc and a NinVision-MEDCLR Portfolio Group, LLC. They are stating that they have purchased a debt from Discover card in the amount of $1,867. To take care of this debt they are wanting her to agree to their assistance to obtain a Capital One Credit card. Offering her a deal of a $1.00 credit and then expanding her balance by $50.00 for every $75.00 she pays towards the $1,867 balanced that is transferred to the Capital ONe card.

what is the interest rate with a consolidating loan?

I have a credit card balance that is out of control. I can not afford to make the $1500 minimun montly payment. What are my options?
