Hi there, I have been reading over some of the various questions and I hope you may have the answer to my question. I have a credit card that I defaulted on about 2 years ago. I belive they have sold the debt as that it what it says on my credit report "Sold to another Lender" and the status is charged off. There is also an entry on my credit report from the collection agency even though I have never been contacted by them. Can both companies post the same debt? I had read on the web site debt collection.com that only one of the companies can report. Thanks for your help

My husband and I want to buy a house his credit is a total mess mine is still ok but I have about $20K in debt 8K is from college the rest is credit cards. I keep getting calls from this number, but no one is ever there when I answer. When I call back a recording says "All of our agents are busy at this time. Please leave a name and phone number and we will return your call". It doesn't say the name of the company and since I have filed a complaint with Florida on Ellis Crosby, I would like to avoid any contact with them. Thank you

Hey I was just wondering what everyone does for a job around here. I work as a Marketing Specialist at a company. Which means I am a web/graphic designer that doesn't get paid for being one. Just wanted to share with the forum about an experience. If anyone is in credit card debt it is very tempting to transfer balances from one credit card to another to basically wave the payment for that month. BAD IDEA. Although it may be a quick solution to a sticky situation, the fees add up really quickly. I also heard, and if anyone could back me up that would be great, that it is really bad for your credit score if balances are transferred back and for all the time. Anyway, those fees added to my debt along with cash advance fees and apr's.

On 9/22/05 or thereabout I got a $200 loan from cash today limited. The first installment due two week following the receipt of the loan I asked the middle eastern man from the UK who called me to take the entire amount which would total $279. To date all these thieves have done is to take $158 telling me I am in default. Last week I spoke to one of the swash squash to take all the money; today I check my account what have they done, they've taken $79 twice and $121 so in total they've taken $437.
