My bank recommended changing my account and issuing me a new one. Supposedly my debit cards will transfer over, and my direct deposits will be rest to change. I am worried about the legalities. Will this force me into legal battles? Or will it help get the payday lenders to settle with me??I. I am skeptical it will work, but I am desperate and tempted to try.

Hi A judgment was inter agenst me on 2/11/08 by the attorny that represnted me to pay $2600.00 at $75.00 each month and i did so as the judge ordered, Not only i paid i over paid by $175.00. On May/9/11 I get a letter from him asking for additional $800.00 I wrote him back with my bank copy of evry check i sent him and and reqested $175.00 refund and a satesfaction of judgemet. I never heard from.

My husband is in Medical School overseas (Phillipines). He started at a school in Grenada but as a result of tuition increases he was forced to transfer. Following acceptance, with plane ticket in hand, he was notified that the school had lost it's FASA and we were forced to take out private student loans in order for him to continue. The school, while private, is under the jurisdiction of the Phillipine government and we struggled for months to get the paperwork indicating that he was a full-time student.

I'm a 68 yr. old Senior on Social Security. In 2008 I cosigned a private student loan for my grandson, who said he'd pay it. Well he left me hanging and I have been paying the interest payments on it since Nov. of 2009. The loan amount is 31,000. I have not been able to reach him, nor do I know where he lives. He has not paid a penny towards that loan. My only source of income is my SS. My interest payments are 250.00 a month. I'm having difficulty making ends meet. I've been having to charge medication, food, and other necessities.
