It is possible to be approved for debt consolidation with a good credit rating? I have a debt/income ratio of about 1/1 but I have remained current on all my bills. The problem is, I have not been able to support myself without continuously going into more debt over the last year. Its only getting worse and soon I will have to choose b/w food and cc pmts.

I had an acct w/providian. They sold my acct to emerge (lie) because providian owns emerge. Who then sold my acct to jefferson cap, which emerge owns. Is this legal?

Luckily, these days, more and more colleges are creating on-campus jobs for students and allowing them to hold part-time jobs while in college. I definitely think that money management should be a mandatory course in schools and colleges.

the last place that i tried to get a loan from told me that my score was at 440. i have recently had a rough 6 months, while in the process of repairing some long standing credit issues. i had 6 months of financial hell, had to make nessesary purchases which added a few hundred dollars in liabilities to my monthly budget which is driving me to more dept.
