am new here and I need advice. I and dh have alotta debt. We have just come into some money and would like to settle as many debts we can for the lowest we can.. I just don't know where to start? 2 I havent paid on since Jan 2 I paid 2 months then stopped and one I just paid a payment last week when I called to ask about settle ment I have contacted a few companies and they have been doing mostly 65% but they will not budge on " agreed as paid" I am really worried about what this will do at tax time. How do I know I am getting the best deal?

I too have like four outstanding payday loans all of which are now in collections because I couldn't afford to pay them off or renew them I owe about 1,000.00 just in payday loans. I want to start making payments on them but they want me to pay them off in full that is not fair and there is no way I can do it. Most of the debt consolodation places say they can't help me because this is considered a secured debt.

It is possible to be approved for debt consolidation with a good credit rating? I have a debt/income ratio of about 1/1 but I have remained current on all my bills. The problem is, I have not been able to support myself without continuously going into more debt over the last year. Its only getting worse and soon I will have to choose b/w food and cc pmts.

I just filed bankruptcy yesterday. I have 9 payday loans ncluded in the bankruptcy which are still current but I am not able to pay the fees any longer. Can these loans still try to collect from me?

I had an acct w/providian. They sold my acct to emerge (lie) because providian owns emerge. Who then sold my acct to jefferson cap, which emerge owns. Is this legal?
