I recently had a debt collection suit that lasted 1 year in the courts that had been filed against me dropped because they were unable to serve me the summons. I saw all this on the internet. Is the statute of limitations for credit card debt extended (tolled) by that 1 year of the lawsuit?

If I settle my debts on my own for less than the total amount owed, how does that affect my credit report?

I filed out the form last week but have heard nothing. I couldn't fill in bank information because I don't have one at the moment, but I desparately need to get the ball rolling on this, I have collections calling me at work all day long. Please respond.

Are there different firms that call or is it just one that gets the information that I put on this site.Do they negoiate with all your crediters before they offer the one monthly payment.Since I have payday loans and they take the interest automaticly out of my checking each week will I need to close out my checking first or will they stop when consolidation is started.Im alittle confused on how this works.I filled out the infomation a few weeks ago and no one has called me or emailed me except a company called christian debt solutions???Are they the company that this site sends your info to?W

I am having a hard time understanding how you work. Do you take someones bills and pay on them each month like a consumer credit counseling service? If not how do you avoid getting behind on payments until you have enough to make an offer for a settlement?

I have signed up for a free consultation, but I am so wound up I don't know what to do. I have a new house with a private mortgage and after I moved in my income became reduced by $280.00 a month, my mother and I haven't been able to sell our old house, they have filed foreclosure proceedings and will definitely come after me for a deficiency judgment. I took our three payday loans to make ends meet in June and July, my bank account is overdrawn, and I am 1 month behind on my mortgage, will be two months after Sunday. I have not received a notice of default. I can't handle this on my own.

I took about a payday loan in April for $200 and with their roll over fees it soon be came unbearable. I recieve a call from this firm in June and the woman I spoke to demanded I pay $600.00 or I would be sued, since I was so scared I sent a $100.00 money order to their office in Canada (this is where they are based), being a full time student with rent, bill, cost of school... I was unable to pay the rest.

can i only have one bill that i want to consolidate?
