HELP!! i ended up having a judgment entered for a vehicle that was repossessed. It was a stupid thing to do but now my credit is ruined. i plan to file a motion to vacate judgment but what are applicable reasons for my filing of the motion. service is not an issue (i dont guess). they process server gave the s/c to my son who was 15 at the time. he gave them to me. i called the creditor and he refused to talk to me. i moved to another city. the next thing i knew the creditor was calling me trying to get me to satisfy the judgment. please help!! i never got notice of the hearing.

Do you know anything about United Legal Corporation? Should I give a collection agency my checking account information so they can ACH a payment? Don't they have to send me a letter within 5 days from the time they contact me? If they send an email, does that count as a letter?

I had a car repossessed and I had a co-signer on it. I was considering filing a chapter 7 bankruptcy but wasn't sure how this would effect my co-signer. I was told it would but in another case I was told as long as I make my attorney aware of it they could not bother my co-signer. Can someone tell me the correct information?

I'm in Chapter 13. I took out a few payday loans - I didn't realize I couldn't do this under 13 until after I had done it. Stupid. I can't pay them back according to their terms, but I can pay them back. A couple have been sent to collection agencies. I have not told these agencies I'm in 13 and don't plan to. But I'm sure they can check publis records. Can these agencies contact the CH 13 trustee? Would they do this?
