Hi: I have been contacted by a collection agency on behalf of an internet 3rd party reseller of cable TV service. There is no question that we received the cable service in 2004, but I have no idea how this resller became involved, unless I inadvertently used their website. I have requested proof of this debt ($290 pluns $100 collection fee), and have received nothing but a copy of the 2005 Terms and Conditions that are currently associated with the website, and a printout that lists my name, address, credit card #, and an order number that does not match the number on the demand letter.

Hi I have about 8 items on my credit report that have been paid but are still shoiwing up on my credit report as negative debts how do I get these removed off? third party creditor agreed to $4800 of $5800 credit card debt. Called collector two days before money due to say 401K check would not be available for another day. She said no problem, we will post, but because of 4th of July holiday, will not present to bank for another couple of days. I said OK, even talked to a supervisor about it. Well, they presented check on the original date, the very day, I asked them not to and told them it wouldn't be there.
