The horror story. I'm sure my story won't compare with most, but I need some advice so here's some background to work with. what will take care of my student loans

I was told that if you default on a credit card, the collection agency has 4 years from the last payment to collect the debt. If they fail to do so in that time, the debt will "fall off" of your credit report. Is there any truth to this whatsoever?
