CMG group put $150.00 unautorized into my account 2 years ago I quickly return them the money and closed my account beginning of this year I kept getting threatening calls from CMG group saying that I owed them 400 dollars They threatened to call my job and get me fired and pursue legal action if i didn't pay up the money

Just noticed an outstanding debt on my Credit report as I am in the middle of buying a house. My Mortgage person says pay it now. These reviews say don't ever contact ANFI. Its a small amount of money and I believe the debt is real. I must get it paid to close on house. Whats a person to do????

Hello, I owed $15000+ to American Express and it's been with collections moving from one to another for some time. I finally got a call from First Source Advantage and about a month later I was in a position to offer them a settlement, so I called them. They agreed to $3500 to settle the whole account. They emailed me a PDF letter stating the agreement. I have record of the email communications between us. Now, I see that the $3500 has been applied as a payment to my account at American Express, and the account is with another collector. So, is this typical behavior?

OK, So I was in debt to about 4 - 5 pay day loan companies. I completed the actions regarding closing the accounts and sending the letters and have pretty much everything sorted out except for 2 things. Everyone else agreed to terms and has not contacted me / refund etc. 1. Cash in a Wink - Refuses to email / mail. Calls all the time though only my cell phone they do not call my work anymore after the 1st time when my payroll department told them they know they are a scam and to stop calling. They keep calling me (pre recorded) the manager said to stop scamming them and just pay.
