I unfortunately got involved with bill me later a year ago. I paid my bills for roughly six months, and then I charged my account with two $150 payments. Surprisingly enough, I lost my job a week later and had used my last paycheck for food. I had and still have no money saved. I am jobless. It is currently about a year later and bill me later charged so much interest, that I'm getting calls to pay roughly $800-$900. I can't completely understand the person on the phone. What can I do to resolve this?

My wife got herself into a bit of trouble with these loans and just came clean to me about it today. She has left herself in a position where a majority of her paychecks are going to these loans and since my business recently went belly up we have no money coming in. I found out these loans were illegal in NJ and need to find out what the next step is in regards to these absurd charges she is paying for these loans. The information is below with the name, how much she borrowed and how much she paid back.

Who are they? I mobed after 27 yearts 2nd forecllosed on home of 27 years, first mortgage sent a letter to deceased wife of 12 years saying if we don't pay escrow payments are going up?! Hello!!!! For 4 years I've been fighting them proving she is dead. Problem was 1st mortgage was in her name only 2nd in mine. Since her name is on it they refuse to deal with me yet sued me or ar tryimg to and they send right to cure default letters saying all will go back to normal if done. Hmmmm, that's a joke bcause they say that in a letter but appllies only to her and of course what?

I allowed the man that would not stop calling me to take 1,000 a month out of my account. He at the time said my outstanding debt that chowed as a charge off on my account could be reduced from $18,000 to $9,000. I just got a letter in the mail saying I owe $18,660 still and they had taken another 1,000 out. I tried to call all numbers listed on the letter and also the internet numbers and all numbers are didconnected?? I am worried the $5,000 I have paid has not been put toward any debt

So, I am in Indiana and I have a payday loan with online advance, I have paid them almost $4000 on a $1250 loan. I defaulted and actually just sent my letter over the weekend. I received a message that if I do not resolve my balance by this next payday, that my account will be turned over to their attorney, Presley Schmidt. Should I be concerned about this?

I'm just curious about this. I'm in the process of contacting my bank and sending the emails out but I was wondering if anyone has ever been sued?? I only have 3 loans total (all illegal tribal) but I see a few on here with 10 or more. I just wondered if they've ever been served for an actual court date?

I have been offered a settlement that is reasonable but yet a good sum of money. A radio talk show host tells people who accepts settlements to get in writing BEFORE THEY PAY a statement from creditor requesting the credit bureau remove debt from credit file once paid. Is this correct or is this a debt I should go ahead and pay regardless of having letter from them?

I have borrowed from numerous online payday sites in the past, how am I to know if they were legal or illegal?
