When I got a payday loan from american web loan, the print said that I agree to their tribal law, so am I stuck with a illegal payday loan, I am from Ohio and I thought I read somewhere where the law of the state you live in takes priority over tribal law. Does anyone know about this

Hello, I have a letter from statement saying I have paid my judgement off. And I was sattle in full, and the letter is sign. The question is can that be a satisfaction letter I can use to take court for them to release the judgement on my credit report?

My lawyer has told me that I might have to file chapter 7 regarding bankruptcy. He told me that we might have to back to the creditor $1,500 a month. Do you know for how long one has to pay back with filing chapter 7? Thank you in advance, Avinash

Hi, so I took out a cash advance loan with VIP cash for $200, and they kept charging my bank account every 2 weeks $50! I told them a while back that I wanted to pay my balance and be done, and the representative even said that it was set to do so. So I reversed the last 4 payments and closed my bank account, and that sure pissed them off . They called me and threatened me with all sorts of actions, and claimed I owed them over $460. I told them that not only did I pay the loan, but the interest and a lot more as well. They also claimed that I never called to request to pay off the loan.

So, I'm getting ready to send my revokations of ACH and voluntary wage assignment. According to my state laws though, wage assignments can only be honored if they are signed in writing and in person. Does this mean that anything I electronically signed over the internet for an illegal payday loan is not valid anyway?
