I took out a private loan to pay for college in 2006 and now the people are threatening to garnish my wages and take private collections. The loan was 10,000 and now they are saying I owe almost 19,000 I'm shocked and worried. I have two kids and I'm trying to provide for them. I would even try and get on a payment plan but they want me to pay almost 19,000 like yesturday. Who can afford that? Not me....Are they able to go into my account and get any monies that may be in there or take my car from me ? I wish I would have never had to do that.

There was three hundred dollars deposited into my account today 06/08/12. I never approved the $300.00 to be depoisted into my account. Can you tell me why your company did so. Sincerely, Walter Watson

Hi, Has anyone dealth with this payday lender. I borrowed $450.00 from them and I paid most of it. I have $45.00 left to satisfy the principal of the loan. I know for a fact they are illegal in my state. I have sent them a cease & desist letter and notifying them that under Florida law they are operating illegally. They are still emailing me trying to get the $750.00 from me, and telling me to read the contract. Can they do anything legal? Please advice.

I've been lurking on these forums for a few weeks now and I've looked through old threads pertaining to lending laws in Tennessee but I'm still very confused about them. I have 3 outstanding loans: Payday Loan Today: 200 (first payment isn't due yet) owe $260 Pepper Cash: 500 (paid $175) balance owed 675 Global Group: 200 (paid $60) owe 260 My main problem is not with Payday Loan Today or Global Group. Call me naive, but I feel like they are going to be fine to work with as they send statements and so far have had decent communication. My problem is with Pepper Cash.
