If you and your computer have ever had the misfortune of being attacked by a Trojan Dialer specific to 900 numbers, you more than likely have been dealing with the likes of EBSI (Enhanced Billing Services Inc) & Integretel (Both are Billing Aggregators) from entries on your phone bill. They are representing the internet scam outfits such as MMI Communications , Information Services and Live Interactive to name a few.
Unauthorized and evasive charges have been placed there by these organizations via the malicious dialer which accesses international 900 number sites. The only time when you are made aware of this activity is when you receive your monthly telephone bill.
The general rule of thumb is: when you challenge these bozo's (Aggregators) after their uneducated telephone reps accuse you or someone else in your household of accessing pornograhic websites, they tend to back down and credit your account (without any word of apology of course). You would tend to believe that this was the end of the matter.

Not so I am afraid, because waiting in the wings, months later are the lowlife bottom feeding debt collectors. These unsrupolous characters buy up old telephone records and debt from even more unscrupolous vendors and go after for what they can get. This is where you may have had a call from a Mr.David or others threatening you with lawsuits, disconnecting your phone line and further harrassment, without fully identifying himself or their client, which is the law.
If you do not challenge this moron on initial contact he may stay on the line long enough to tell you he represents the law firm of a Paul Kupferstein & Associates. Otherwise, he hangs up. The phone number they tend to call on is (905) 474 3535. Investigation of the number gives the address as follows:

Liability Solutions Inc
4981 HWY 7 East
Unit 12A, Suite 267
Markham, Ontario
L3R 1N1 Canada

Thats right Canada, They are also located at several other addresses including PO Boxes, and they are all located in the Markham area. They tend to move around a lot! For peace of mind call the RCMP Phonebusters 1-888-495-8501 or Recol 1(888) 495-8501 hotlines (same number) and your State Attorney General. The Law Society of Upper Canada are also very interested to hear from you. (416) 947 3310. They and the RCMP are very much aware of the activities of these scam artists in their area. This is total fraud and none of it would stand in a court of law. They are preying on vulnerability and fear using scripted scare tactics. Just ask your Attorney Generals office.

This thread has been started to put a case history together on victims and consumers they have targeted. If you are a victim please highlight your case on this forum so that we can get a portfolio of sorts on these crooks, and present it to the relevant authorities, and for general peace of mind. The more people who make complaints the more likely they will get investigated and have their illegal operation shut down. Take note they will infiltrate this forum with bogus victims who apparently ended up paying them after going through the courts. It does not happen! For further information on Kuperferstein and Co. check out further listings about them on this website through the following link:

Be gone Guest. Obviously you have no clue what you are talking about. Waste of my time to try and baby walk you through it.

AND furthermore, I have never stated anything about this Mr. Cowen person. Read posts thoroughly before you jump the gun.

Something makes me think you are connected somehow and hiding behind your name . . . . But they all seem to be doing it these days.

Apparently you have nothing better to do than raise a little arguement here that is not relevant to what Jedijeff has been saying.

Step up or step out! If you have something productive to say then please do so otherwise . . . .

Oh, but it is. See, Charline said:

Lawyers are exempt - period.

But I don't see Jay Cowan as a registered lawyer. Nor do I find Mr. David, Mr. Sargent, Mr. Shaw or the other dude (I forgot his name). Unless I can see proof (and just saying "I am wrong" is not proof), I don't think having a lawyer as an employee counts as getting a company around this "exempt - period" statement. If that was the case, a billion companies would do it.

So - is Jay Cowan a registered lawyer? How about Juan David? Steve Sargent?

The only joke aound here is the constant attempts by the clowns in Markham trying to take the moral high ground. This thread has been one of the top topics for almost a year on this site. Figure it out!
Everyone is wrong and they are right...blah, blah, blah.
Give it up......you were all busted months ago!!

Hi everyone again...I have again received a call from the law office yesterday...today I received a call from a Mr. Dalton Timmis from the same number...hmmmm
When I googled his name, it came up as an insurance company. What is going on?
But it is the same number as the Law Office? the number is 1-905-336-3592. Has anyone else had the same number on their phone.
I phoned back this Mr. Shaw and AGAIN he would not allow me to tell him my new address. I am really getting tired of this crap. If they were a legit firm, under my rights, he would send me a copy of the file and then proceed. How are they going to sue me for supposed funds owed if they cant locate me? they can send it to the credit bureau. I would have better luck with them in working out something if monies are due. This Timmis has already phoned me 3 times in a 5 minute period. I read on here somewhere that someone posted that they are only allow to call 3 times a week...so why am I being bothered so much...I am sure it has happened to others, but I am real tired of it.
Charline----please send me a address, so that I can write to your company and receive a balance. I will not phone any more numbers and be harassed as I was last week when I attempted to phone the number you gave here and was told basically the same thing as Mr. Shaw said.
You people dont want a solution, you just enjoy harassing people, as far as I am concerned.

Painfully - I think you have some confusion. I punched that number into google and got the same insurance company - Dalton-Timmis. In my searching, they are not a collection agency, so I don't think they would be calling about this issue you have.

The phone number for "The Law Office" that Charline works is 905-474-3535. Now, this is NOT to be confused with the phone number for Liability Solutions, which is 905-474-3535. Remember - they are different companies and not related at all.

Now, the address for "The Law Office" is either:
620 Alden rd. suit 200 Markham On L3R 9R7
or
4981 Hwy 7 East Unit 12A Suite 267 Markham, ON Canada L3R 1N1

But remember, it is NOT related to Liability Solutions, who's address is:
4981 Hwy 7 East Unit 12A Suite 267 Markham, ON Canada L3R 1N1

Jeff-the law office number on my phone yesterday is the same number for this Timmis. I double-checked to make sure. yesterday it said Law office and today it said Dalton Timmis for the same number.
Thank you for the address-I will write today and request the info I am looking for. Have a good day and thank you for your info on this forum

Painfullyaware, the number 905-336-3592 is the fax number for the Burlington, Ontario location of Dalton-Timmis, an insurance company.

The Law Office, Liability Solutions, fax number is 905-474-3636. Dalton-Timmis deals with vintage automobile insurance.

Jedijeff13, you've let me down. You have absolutely not idea what the Law Office is, what they do, who they are etc. You've done your investigateing, and your searching, but still so many unanswered questions.
Think before you speak.

Don't make me go through this thread and pull out all the questions I have asked that have not been answered.

Stop hiding and confront me. Or, why not call me and collect that $2000 I owe to Kupferstein/Law Office/Liability Solutions or I will be sent to jail this Friday. At least that's what you theatened me back in Feb.

Should I ask again? Why not - it costs nothing to type: Why does the Law Office and Liability Solutions have the same phone number? Why do Janet and Charline claim to work for Paul Kupferstein and not Liability Solutions, yet they both have email addresses for Liability Solutions?

And while I wait, let me dance a little....

I am going to post the same thing I did in another forum because apparently they are slumming around here writing the same bull !@#$.

"The air between their heads must be cutting off the blood circulation to their brains!

They are totally once again trying to avoid confrontation and making it look like they have answered all questions asked of them WHEN as we all clearly know they haven't! Reverse psychology doesn't work here GUEST!

How many times do we have to post the questions you have never answered - you are a complete joke and waste of time to even bother with. You post just for your own pleasure and YOU have no clue of what you preach. I truly believe you do have no life outside of your little Kuperstein cell.

I am sure you will once again grace up with your incompetent postings yet again as you have nothing better to do with your time than come on here and try and bull !@#$ everyone into thinking you do. Answer the questions or please leave - your postings are useless and furthermore, empty!

If you want to play with the big boys, you'll have to do better than that!"

The Law Office and Liability Solutions do not have the same phone number. I never threatened you about anything and no one ever told you "you owe money to Liability Solutions". Mr. Kupferstein's office contacted you. Who employs who should not concern you.
Questions answered.
Fed Up, I'm not here to play with anyone - I don't consider any of this a game.

Excuse me while I jump in a sec...

Guest...you mean: "The Law Office and Liability Solutions *NO LONGER* have the same number." Kupferstein's number seems to have magically changed. Gee...why?

I personally have documented proof of my transactions with the law firm (including fax confirmation sheets and e-mails), that show that the fax & phone numbers and e-mail exchange listed for Liability Solutions on their website are THE EXACT SAME as the ones I used to communicate with members of the Kupferstein staff. Not to mention the two phone messages I still have on tape from Mr. David threatening me with legal action and ordering me to call him at Paul Kupferstein & Associates???????and on which he also gives LIABILITY SOLUTIONS???????? PHONE NUMBER as the number to contact him.

You still continue to deny the connection ... you have NEVER bothered to just ANSWER the people on this Board who have asked you to explain the connection (obviously, ???????there is no connection??????? is NOT the correct answer ???????what's the harm in answering the question honestly?)..and now you scurry around to change the "law firm's" phone number? Whatcha hidin????????? Please don't embarrass yourself by, yet again, trying to deny the two companies are in some way affiliated or that the new number has ALWAYS been Kupferstein's number. You know JediJeff will find a way (yet again) to prove you totally wrong.

And Guest - before you say anything ???????? I acknowledge, once again, Janet????????s kind assistance in regard to my file. My issue is not with Janet. It????????s with all of the lies posted on this Board by people trying to cover up the Kupferstein Firm????????s tracks. You seem to enjoy attacking and taunting Jeff, Intimidated, and the other people on this Board ???????? you really shouldn????????t do that. Especially when there are several people out here with tangible proof that you????????re LYING.

Have you never gone into an office building were you have a receptionist that works for more than one company. A phone number can be a main switch board for mutiple companys. People share office space in canada the US and England it's a common factor. Maybe that should be your question to these people do they share office space with other companys. Also one person can own more than one company but not associate with each other. Rich people like to keep their business separate. Just Like our fine government people who run our countrys. They are the president or Prime minister but they also own numerious companys that we don't know about until there is a scandal. So really where the same person owns Liabilty solutions and the law office and maybe a massage business it is irrelevant as each business is ran separately they might cross occasionally but that is not important. You are all trying to make a connection between the two and it really doesn't matter. That would probably answer the question of Jedi's why cowan is ahead of kupferstein. Multiply company using space.

No, it doesn't answer the question. You keep avoiding it!

You claim they have different numbers and are different companies, but when you call the phone number from the Liability Solutions website, you get "Thank you for calling The Law Office".

WHY?

Cuz see, when you do it in a regular office, you call a number and the receptionist answers with the name of the company, even if they answer multiple lines. Unless the phone system you have is so ancient that you can't distinguish one from another.

You are avoiding the question because you can't answer it.

The website has not been updated in years, it contains some incorrect information. The Law Office and Liability Solutions do not have the same number. That is why when you dial 905-474-3535 you reach the Law Office, and not Liability Solutions.
If you feel a crime has been committed then proceed acordingly. This site and others are based on defamation and slander, both illegal.
There will be no further communications on this site from either Mr. Kupferstein's office or Liability Solutions.

Nope. I ain't buying the arguement for two reasons:

1) I brought up the website about 35 pages ago in this thread. Now you suddenely want to claim that "the site hasn't been updated for years". You couldn't have said that about 4 months ago? That claim sounds much more like a new angle hoping I would shut up. Won't work. How old is the website? When was it last updated?

2) If I changed my company's phone number, one of the FIRST things I would do is update my website. You are going to claim your company does this incredible business, but you just don't have the time to update the phone number on the website? How are all the new customers going to contact you? Please. Just how d@mn stupid do I look?

I know you won't be back to answer, but I'll ask it anyway, cuz I like to laugh: what IS the updated phone number to contact Liability Solutions?

Jedijeff13, only because you asked so nicely...
You have no business with Liability Solutions nor does anyone else on this site, therefore I see absolutely no need to post this information. You have never had contact with Liability Solutions only that of Mr. Kupferstein's office.

Oh, but see - I have. When I was contacted by Mr. Juan David, he gave a phone number that I found to be Liability Solutions. In that regard, I feel I have a HUGE bit of business with the company.

So again - just hold old in the info on that website? And what is their new phone number? I would think, since many people read this thread, having an updated phone number SOMEWHERE in cyberland would be nice.

Guest,

You stated that you and your collegues will never post on here again. Sorry to say, but we've all heard that before and here you are yet again - gluten for punishment or do you figure you not posting will dimish everyone else from posting here and your company may avoid the hot seat for awhile?

Won't happen and as much as you say you won't, you will and you'll post the same stuff and avoid the same questions asked of you BUT you will hide behind a different name. Unfortunately for you, we all know better considering anyone posting defense remarks defending this firm can only be people who work for this company - plain and simple.

They will be back because it is not good for business to have a forum out there exposing their illegally operations.

They will post again in efforts to hopefully wish that one day this forum won't be around so they can get back to doing what they do best - harrassing and scamming people.

Keep up the good work everyone.

I have been watching and not making comments on this site for a long time. Everybody has a right to their own opinion. I also have a right to my opinions also but I do not insult or make rude comments to any of you. I will help people who want help and those of you who do not want help thats your choice. I cannot speak for you or anyone else. I know that you will all just jump down my throat once again. That's fine by me. But I do not yell or treat people in a rude manner or insult or call names. I will treat you with respect as lone as you treat me the same way. I can say what get said on the phone between the debtor and the people working here. But I will say that I have been called things and had my life threatened by debtors by just answering the phone. So guess what it works both ways. here people

Janet - I may have jumped down your throat a time or twelve. I am sure I have. I am also sure that I have had a pretty decent reason to jump at you.

You are here as a representative of your company. Yet, it is like pulling teeth to get a straight answer. You have to see it from my side. And yes, I KNOW you weren't there - you have to take my experience from my word. However, I had Mr. Juan David from your company call me and outright threaten and harass me about a debt that your office had magically obtained. This debt was completely unfamilar with me. When I asked for simple documentation (which is my right), I was threatened more, cursed at and hung up on. I did all my own work and found the debt to be false an illegally obtained originally. What does that say about how your company obtained the debt?

You work for them. You are happy to work for them. I applaud you. All I ask it that your company follow the law. Today, I still do not believe they do. And that is why I fight here.

I'll be blunt and honest. My goal is to put your company out of business.

jedijeff that is your choice. My point is I am trying to help people to the best of my ability and I will continue to try. Also I could hate who you work for but that doesn't give me or anyone else the right to treat you in a bad way. As you would only be an employee. I have not come across anything such as you claim that your case was like. I deal with people every day that agree they owe such debt but are trying to get out of paying it. I provide documents to people everyday pertaining to there debt I have no problem doing that. If the said company cannot provide me with documents in regards to debt I would not pursue anything against said debtor. And neither would Charline. Who also happens to be a very nice person. Who trys to help people also. The person who was on here earlier talking about be gay and a B... etc. Is what I deal with at least 30 times a day. So not all debtors are nice like you maybe. They can be rude, insulting and degrading and this is before even talking to one of our people. I get death threats from debtors because they called the orignal client and they told them that they had to call us now. They call here for the first time and are screaming and yelling before you can even say may I help you. This happens every day at least 30 times. So when you say that someone here was rude it kind of goes in one ear and out the other. We deal with rude ignorant people constantly and there are times that I would like to be rude back but I'm not. But I also can understand how someone would. I wish you all the best do what you have to do. But I will continue to do my job and I will try to help those who wish my help.

I do believe I have been fairly aupportive of you, Janet. And of Charline. I have always pointed my critisism of your company on my contact - Juan David. You help people that call - great. Ya know - in my job, I help people that call too. Here's where our similarity comes. When the person that calls me complains cuz he had to call back time and time again because the previous techs were rude - I can see their point. And I do what I can to stop this. To the point that a couple of people have lost their jobs because they cannot be considerate to a customer.

But Juan David stills works for your company. As does Steven Sargent. That fact alone states that Jay Cowan supports his actions. It states that Paul Kupferstein supports their actions. If your boss does not step forward to remove representatives that engage in illegal activity in an attempt to collect a debt, then your boss supports that activity.

I agree that some people try to get out of their obligations. I have said that that is wrong. If you have a legitimate debt, you pay it. Someone gave you money or provided a service that you agreed to, you pay it. You don't curse that your file was sent to collection - you talk with the rep and work out a deal. But you pay.

It's a two way street. If you call me about something I owe, first off - be nice. There is probably a good chance I have had many bad days, and hearing I owe more money I don't have is going to make me worse. And then when I ask who I owe money to, tell me. Don't threaten me with jail and court - I asked a simple question. Who do I owe money to? When you won't answer that question, I start believing you are trying to rip me off.

In my case, I was trying to be ripped off. So was Intimidated. And Elle. And FedUp. I'll stop with the name listing.

"I work for a collection agency - debtors are not our customers. They owe money and it is our job to get it. The companies that we are collecting the money for is our customer."

Well my word to you "guest" just remember someday you too will have financial trouble and the same way that you call and harrass and lie to and demean will be the same way that another collector will call and do the same to you.
I have been in collection before and I understand that the business is your customer but just remember you can be sewed personally for the harrassing calls that you make and let's see if that business has your back the way that you may think.
You will get a much better response if you are understanding about the debtors situation and offer them every option possible. The more you work with people then the more they will be willing to pay. When a collector is nasty to me I will pay them last. All you all are trying to do is make month end and get your bonus. It is not worth it.

I'm with you, arj. For the times I have had financial issues, the people that contacted me, worked with me and never made a threat - I paid them first and fast. They loved me. And I loved them. Even had one of them tattooed on my behind.

(ok - that's not true. I don't have proof they loved me. :D )

The ones that were mean - I let them stew. Sent them $10 a month just to show I was making an attempt to pay. By law, that little amount of money is enough to stop them from taking me to court. They all got their money....on MY schedule.

Hi Jeff and others. thank you for responding. I did indeed call the number back and it was an insurance companym(I think the stress of that idiot Mr. David got to me so I wasnt seeing right). The phone number I have now once belonged to a sewing company that went out of business in my city.
To Janet--I wish there were more people like you, that can indeed help us out of our situations. The problem I had was that this Mr. David refused to give me any info, other than he was going to phone the police in my city, and have me picked up if I didnt send this money. Call your lawyer for bail he told me. That doesnt sit well in my books. Since my last conversation with him, I have not heard a word, nor am I sitting in jail. I have friends that have also borrowed from this company, and I have gotten the word out, that should this Paul Kupferstein phone them, they are to record any and all conversations, to get proof of extortion. I have sent a letter to this goof and have demanded under the Freedom of Information Act in Canada, that he immediately send my file to me. I also copied and sent the same letter to my MP in my city, so they are aware that I made an attempt to contact this law office and should there be no response, that I can contact the MP again, to let them know that Paul Kupferstein failed to response. I actually had spoken with the MP's office before I phoned Mr. David back, and they told me to write down any words this man said. I then sent them a copy of EXACTLY what was said and how. They are very aware of the situation.
Thanks to all that provide info here as it saved me not only money i didnt have, but eased my worries. Thank you to all.

And the sad part - both people in this quote work for the exact same company.

Janet - how many more people have to tell their horror stories of dealing with Mr. Juan David. before your boss, the man that owns Liability Solutions and calls you, Janet, his personal assistant, Mr. Jay Cowan, terminates his employment?

Why aren't you making the calls, Janet? Since you are so helpful, you should be the person that calls about debt to work out a payment arrangement. You would send out proof of the debts and your company could receive many payments.

Unless, of course, your company greceives plenty of money collecting on false debts through the threats of Mr. David, Mr. Sargent, Mr. Shaw and Mr. Cagnia (not sure on that spelling).
