I was sued by a debt collector once in early 2008 in small claims and it got dismissed. Then in late 2008 sued again by the same company in civil court for much more than the first time. I came on here asking for help and it has paid off. I never backed down from them and I put them under pressure.

The trial was supposed to be today and they wanted almost $4,000, last week they filed a stipulation to dismiss the case with prejudice. It is pretty funny that less than a month ago at the pre-trial the attorney for them said he is gung ho to take it to court and it would only take him 2 hours. I guess it was just a scare tactic for him to get me to pay before the trial but it didn't work.

Oh yeah and I have said from day 1 that this debt was not mine. The original creditor was not on any of my credit reports and there was not way to contact the O/C because they went belly up years ago. The debt collector had my contact info and last 4 of my social and also the amount owed,,,
