I'm in PA and I now know that PDL in this state are illegal. I took out 3 PDL in Dec. 2011 (White Hills Cash, Redstone, and Payment Direct) White Hills-borrowed $435 (paid back $652.50) Redstone-borrowed $400 (paid back 700) Payment Direct-borrowed $200 (paid back $356) So I've closed my bank account. I took out 2 payday loans over the internet from SureAdvance and Cash direct Express GECC. Since then I had read and talked with someone from the Virginia Fail Loans people that internet payday loans are illegal to Virginia residents. And since they are illegal they are unenforceable. I had tried to contact both companies about paying principle balance back on my terms, what I can afford, and when I can afford it. They responded that they didn't agree with my terms and that since I got the loan over the internet, I must follow Delaware law.

Hello All you wise debt folks. I need some assistance. First, I live in the beautiful state of Oklahoma. I've gone to my governmental website to collect advice on payday loans, but I'm flopping miserably. From what I understand, and I could be terribly wrong, lenders must be licensed in the state of Oklahoma. I've checked the registers on the state website, and I've only found one of my 5 lenders on the list. :cry:I'm in Missouri and have no clue how to take care of the mess I'm in!!! I have a loan with EZ Money for $1,200 and they hit my bank account 6x in 1 day on 4 different days. That made my account over drawn by $467 just in bank fees now the bank has frozen my account. I have another one out with AAA Check Advance for $270 one with Cash Biz for $430 and one with Zest Cash for $1,200 I need major help trying to get these taken care of. My assistant received a call yesterday from Agent Long from Cohen Schwatz & Assoc. He told her that he was having me served at my place of employment. She frantically called me and gave me his info. I called and he said it was for a CASHNET payday loan a year or so ago. He said his firm was hired by "Empire Asset" and he was sending out a summons today if I didn't take care of the 1000.00. I asked him for his address for a debt validation to be sent to him. I looked to see if he was a legitimate debt collector in Texas with a bond - he isn't.
