In December of 2012 I was in desperate need of some cash and took out a payday loan. Little did I realize what a rip-off it would be and that it would lead to a "civil suit" against me. Yesterday I was contacted by Robert James and Associates and they informed me that they were handling a case against me for a debt originated with Gateway Holdings, LLC (the payday loan company I originally dealt with).

I'm trying to refinance my home mortgage through the making home affordable program and when the clerk ran my credit report he informed me there was a judgement on the house from CitiBank. I never received any summons regarding my Citibank account. I currently defaulted my accounts and am with one of those Freedom Debt Relief programs. They advised me that if there wasn't any summons served I could file a Motion to Set Aside a Default Judgment. But how hard is it, is it worth it, and what is the cost? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Credit Solutions is a scam. 4 years ago they negotiated a settlement payment which was paid by me. Now the creditor is coming after me for the rest of the money. 4 years, no bills or phone calls. I can go through my files from 4 years ago however it will be difficult as I am disabled. Is there anything I can do? I am telling the collection agency however they do not care or think I am lying. Thank you Dee

So it seems that when I was 13, my mom added me to her account so that I could have a credit card for emergencies. Only she never gave it to me as I never had the need for it. She had a breakdown and went back to our homecountry and I stood here with my grandmother. The credit card ended up being defaulted and she owes about $6000. The issue is that it shows on my report as my debt as well, even though this account was defaulted on before I was 18. The other account is an account that I have no idea about.

first let me say i am so glad to have found this site. i have learned alot by just reading the posts. i have 4 pdl out from local storefronts here. i also have a loan from plain green. i borrowed $700, and have made 3 payments of $235 each for a total of $705. i plan to close my checking acct in the next few days. i am drowning here. i had to stop getting one of meds to keep up with the payments on these loans. i cannot do this anymore.

This is regarding my PDL from Ace Cash Express (Storefront, in the state of CA) I've been doing business with this local PDL from time to time untill I default on a loan back in 2009. The amout of the PDL I default on is $255 (This is the maxmuim that I can take out per CA Law). A week ago I got a phone call from this company/firm USC stating that they are a "Process Server". Basically saying that they bought my debt from Ace Cash Express and if I don't pay now they will served me, taking me to court. The amount they are asking was $509 which I told them thats not what I owe.

Hey guys I am 22 years old and in what seems to be a black hole of debt. I owe $15,000 in credit cards, have an $11,000 auto loan, and a bunch of student loans. just paying the minimum on my credit cards every month is 500 dollars and my student loans are another 500, I need help and i do not know where to begin. I work two jobs just to keep a roof over my head and food on the table. If anyone can please point me in the right direction thatd be great. Thank you all in advance

my wife was referred to Purcell and Assoc a few years ago to help with some debt. she signed a contract with then and has made monthly payments to them for the last 20 months or so. Capitol One sued her since then and while she was in court with them she found out she was sued because Purcell and Assoc contacted them and a settlement was made. a few payments were made to Capitol One by Purcell but the payments stopped for some reason so she was sued and had to make an agreement with them directly or have wages garnished.

WOW! Ok so I got a phone call from a Mr. Hatton this morning regarding my account with USA cash express. He left a voicemail on my phone, and let me know that if I didn't call him back that I was going to be sued at my place of employment. So I called back armed with what I learned from this website. Of course he tried to talk over me, called me a deadbeat, said that I was going to be served at work so everyone could see what a loser I was. Funny thing is I spoke to this same man when I was settling my Integrity Payday Loan account.

I'm in Ohio and have 4 PDL's. Payday1 - $600, due to take $141 tomorrow (0 paid so far) CashNet - $450, due to take $90 tomorrow (0 paid so far) -----------> These 2 I will somehow find a way to pay, since they are legal from all I've read.
