Fix the damn spam!!!

13 years 10 months ago
I am sorry...I am so fed up with the spam in social misfits forum and this one. I deleted a crap load this morning, went out for a couple of hours and a shitload of unregistered "guests" have posted again. Please, please, I and the other moderators implore you, put an end to unregistered guests from posting in either of these forums. Instead of wasting time asking us for testimonials, fix the forum. No other forum allows you to post willy nilly unregistered....the screen name allows them to remain annoymous and should help us to cut down/eliminate the spammers.

I keep getting harrassing calls at my work place from this company a lady named Dorothy Tate keeps calling. I told her to send me written documentation of this payday loan that she tells me i owe. She further threatened that if i don't send money by Mar 2nd she would contact security at my job to have me subpeonaed. Is this legal. The number she calls from is unknown. She leaves another number to contact. Has anyone heard of this company?

Care one??

13 years 11 months ago
So BOA referred me to CareOne. I called and careone has a debt counseling program and a debt settlement program. I find it ironic BOA refers their clients to CareOne. I know many have DIY here, but has anyone used Careone for their settlement program or know anything about them. I get mixed reviews when I look on this website or when I google them online. Most of the bad reviews are from folks that use the DMP and they don't understand it well. thanks in advance for any feedback.. i am new at this and this you all are my moral support

Commerce Bk

So you all my pymt was due Feb 19, so I've been getting calls every 2-3 days. Rep isn't so bad, when I do decide to pick up. So anyway, does anyone here have any experience with them? The others like BOA, Citi, Discover have offered special "hardship" programs which are expensive so I am just sitting not pying like you all. Commerce told me they don't have any hardship programs and they refer all their clients to a debt mgnt company.

Judgment question

13 years 11 months ago
Last year I was sued and settled with the collection law firm, but they still entered a judgment against me. Right after the judgement was entered, the main lawyer at the law firm was brought down by the state Attorney General for general fraud and violation of debtors rights. I received a letter from one of the partners saying she was taking over the file and I could make payments to her. Several months later, she returns one of my payments with a letter stating that she is no longer collecting for Capital One and that I should contact them directly.

Ohio Online PayDay Loan

13 years 11 months ago
I took out an online PDL with Check N Go. When the loan came due I did not have the full amount and they offered me a refinance. I refinanced for $259.00. It sounds like from what I'm reading they are not allowed to offer refinancing. So now when the loan comes due again, I will owe the full amount of $1000.00, plus $259.00 in fees, despite having already paid $259.00. Are Ohio online lenders allowed to do this?
