I took out 2 pay day loans last year. One with Quick Cash, and one with Advance America. My loan with quick cash was for $500 I re-paid $350 and tried to make arrangements for the remaining balance which was over $400, and they refused to work with me so I closed the account and never answered thier calls. With Advance America I lost my job 2 wks after recieving the loan therfore it was never paid. I got a call today for a collection agency saying that they were going to file a judment against me for malicious intent.

hi this is a very old transaction. i have not gotten any mail from this place they were taking money out of my account back in 2010. today i get a call about this account, saying i still owe them 475.00 i borrowed 200.00. the company that contacted me was integris management llc. i have been trying to figure out about these people i looked them up on Google i see nothing about about who they say they are. now they suppose to be a law firm that if i dont come to an agreement with them they are sending court papers over to my city's court house, for prosecution.

A little over 5 years ago I got a $1000 loan from a family member that I haven't been able to pay back. There was no promissory note just a verbal agreement to pay them back when I got back on my feet. I haven't had contact with this person regarding the loan since the loan was given to me because she refuses to talk to me. Can I still be sued for the $1000? We live in California so I know the SOL is 2 years but I was wondering if there is any way the SOL can be waived. At the same time 5 years ago I also got a $1000 loan from a friend that I did sign a promissory note for.

Got a call from Jason Melrose at Economic Advocacy Group (EAG) today on behalf of Bayside Cash saying he's a process server and are going to press with a lawsuit against me because I refuse to pay. Actually he hung up on me when I told him I had handled this with Bayside (paid $1300 on $400 loan) and until he could prove to me anything legit I wasn't agreeing to anything. 1. I searched for any record of this company as he said they are legit and I could find nothing. He offered to email something LOL. Nothing at BBB or phone numbers search. 2.

I DV'd a collection agency. They sent me the validation(original contract). But one document included does not have my signature or date. It is the short sale acceptance/approval notice. I did a short sale 2 years ago, and thought everything was settled. But the bank on the 2nd mortgage tried to collect on the balance. I told them I never agreed or was aware that the balance of the loan would be collectible. But they would say I signed the promissory note and had to pay. So I just ignored them. Well this agreement doesn't bear my signature. So I am wondering what should I do?

I have been having some financial difficulty since 2011, and is still experience in it now. I was separated from my husband in the beginning of 2011 he is the father of my two kids. In the beginning I was doing fine,but my job got slow,and i needed to pay my bills. I made a dumb mistake and took out some online payday loans.

Hi all, thanks for assembling such a great and in depth forum for our debt issues. I'm one of many that got in credit card trouble in college. I think I'm close to getting two collections out of the way but I need some advice. Here's my situation. I have two revolving lines from BofA. On my most recent credit report (this month), it states last activity as 10/05. By the way, originally I owed 7200 and 3900. So, I can't see the date I stop paying and it was moved to collections. From the same report, Asset Acceptance took over in 6/08.

I have posted on here a few years ago. About two years ago I received tons of calls everyday from what I was told was scam debt collectors. They have very thick Indian accents. The calls have started again. I have approximately 30 calls on my answering machine today from a guy with a v ery thick accent again. He said very bad things would happen to me and all he could do was wish me well. Do I even call him back? I assume I do not but 30 calls is kind of freaking me out. I c urrently have one payday loan but am paying on it regularly.
