Years and years ago I took out a payday loan. I'm talking about 4 years ago. It was with CashNetUSA. Honestly, I don't remember if I paid it back. I was in a bad way, and ignorant of the things I was doing. I paid back most of the loans I took out, but this one may have slipped through the cracks. Anyway, I get a phone call from my mother-in-law on the 11th. A man claiming to be "investigator Chase" called her. She said the first thing he asked her was when was the last time she saw me.

I took out a payday loan with Cash in a Wink back in July when we were going through tough times. I have since paid the principle but they have added so many fees that I still owe them 320 dollars. They are threatinig "involuntary" wage assigment. I live in Florida, I don't know if they are even a legal company in Florida. Will they be able to follow through with this? I can't find their address to send an official letter revoking my permission for wage assignment (not that I remember signing anything that allowed this is the first place).

Hi, I just read today on yahoo a section that titled: "Things Debt Collectors won't Say" article and happen to do some research and found this site. My issue: Long story short, I was denied a job because of my credit history. I was told I had 30 days to fix it in order to get a job. I had no clue what to do but pay it off and I knew that was impossible. Either way, that has expired. My degree is Accounting and Finance and I'm basically a prisoner of my debt and can't acquire a job in my field because of this and I really need help.

yes forgot all bout having the loan cause bank shut down my account to many over drafts the loan was online and i live in north carolina a company from GA. called this past week stating that if i did have them more by 2 pm monday october 24 they were going to take me to court and have me arrest for check fraud.i really did forget about the loan.told her that im barley able to buy baby diapers right much less give them money.

Hi, I have a question regarding a third party collection agency...calls themselves Imperial Partner Recovery LLC, our of Kansas...They bought my account from Wells Fargo, whom I paid my debt too, and they never cleared me from their records. I was threatened to be taken garnishment or to court regarding this debt, I had been paying them the last 4 months, and at the end of Sept. 2011 their Phone number was blocked as All Circuits are busy, since I had an arrangement with them and I can't pay them, can they still go after my Income? Do you think they Forfiet the debt?

I wanted to know if it is legal for the credit reporting agencies to list both the original creditor and the collections agency on your credit report even if the original creditor has the status listed as "sold to another agency" or something similiar to that with a zeor balance. Doesnt having both accounts still effect your credit score? Is this legal to do? How can I fix this problem?

My husband was attempting to get a payday loan in July and was turned down (thankfully) by all companies because he is a contractor. All of a sudden a few days later a deposit of $400.00 from a VIP DES appeared in our bank account. He never applied to to this company. After that payments of $150 were taken out on his paydays. They are STILL coming out. We have paid $1150.00 on a $400 loan we never applied or signed for. I am LIVID and don't know what to do next. I told my husband we need to close the account altogether. This company is robbing us blind.
