I really hate these India lowlife scammer phone calls. They had given up for awhile, but this morning "David Cooper" with "PCS" left me a long, mean threatening message and then called my friend/co worker who I stupidly put a reference on one of those applications. I feel like they are extra bullyish to me b/c I'm female - The whole situation is so embarrassing- even though I know they are scammers it upsets me every time they call. It does no good to report them to anyone because they can't catch them.

I have a letter from USCB corporation supposedly collecting on a payday loan called quickpayday.com They say on the bottom of the letter they are licensed to collect in Minnesota but I don't know if I believe that. I paid on their web site a couple times for $25 each but the letter they sent doesn't match the balance due on the website and also it had a different account number. I wonder if they are trying to collect by splitting the debt in half and having two bills. I have not received another letter since August but they call once a month but never leave a message.

I talked to pursels and associates through care on cred it counseling. I gave them all my information, and spoke with one of their lawyers, its going to cost me $150, but it was worth it. I originally thought i wanted to do DSP, I have about 58k in unsecured debt over about 14 credit cards. I make close to 4k/month, however I lost my job at the beginning of the year and got behind on my payments for about 4 months. Prior to talking to careone I talked to the creditors myself and set up hardship plans. Some of them reduced the interest as low as 6%. I wouldn't qualify for chp 6 bkp.

Today I received several calls from 404-991-6880, from a Mrs.Hankinson who refused to give me her first name. She stated that this number was her direct number. She told me that she was collecting on an internet payday loan I took out in August 2009. Now, that the time, in August 2009, I had MULTIPLE online payday loans. These since have all been paid, with multiple "collection agencies" trying to collect since they have been paid. She stated the original loan amount was $420, and that I now owed $840 due to taxes and fees.

In reading all these very interesting posts, I decided to take a stab at settling my debts on my own. BofA was my first and after 6 months of holding out for them to negotiate something close to 25%, they placed my account with Northstar. I didn't get anywhere with Northstar since they were very hardball over the phone and didn't want to work with me (my salary only allows a settlement in installments for now).

midland has been harrassing me forever now they got attorneys kramer and frank harrassing me they are a junk debt collectors what are my options?

Has anyone heard of this place. I am receiving calls from them in regard to old payday loans they say i owe. They've been talking about wage garnishment. The thing I find odd though is that when I ask them who the loan was through they tell me cashnetusa, but that cashnet funds smaller companies. When I ask what smaller company says i took the loan out they say they don't know. If this was legit isn't that something they would know. So if any knows anything about them please let me know. Should I just ignore them?

Hi I am from Massachusetts Recieved a message (automated) stating a civil suit is pending and to call Mrs. O'Brien at the 8555027966 # I believe it is for an old payday loan. Is this a legit way to cantact people over a civil suit?/:confused:

Good Morning everyone, I am asking this for my friend, she had a Bradley's card well over 10 years ago and they have been out of business for 10 years now and all of a sudden this company has gotten and order against her and trying to garnish her wages is that legal especially when the statue of limitations is long sinced passed? What can she do I told her to ask them for a debt validation letter and file complaints with the New Jersey Offie of Consumer Protection, FTC, BBB, and the NJ AG.

I received a collection letter on a debt that is way past the SOL. This debt does not appear on my credit report. I know this company cannot sue me, however, I am wondering if I should send them a debt validation letter, and if I do, AND they validate the debt, what should my next steps be? Also, if I have collection agencies calling me on debt that is way past the SOL, how should I handle these? Thank you so much for your help.
