help! right now i'm stuck on 4 payday loans. I am ready to default them, getting behind all my regular bills. I have read first thing to do is to close my bank account. Who do i deal with after, is it the lenders or the collectors? and how do deal with them? Payday is near need help asap please. Thank you

I've been getting a lot of calls from unknown numbers from people with foreign accents - usually Indian. They always say they're "so and so" from the dept. of "so an so". In the background there are always other voices that sound like a typical boiler room operation. I believe these are bottom feeders that got my phone number from some pdl that I applied with. I usually just hang up (often followed by another call leaving a message for me or my lawyer to phone them back).

So I got a call at work from these people who would not idenify themselves or give me their contact information. They said that criminal charges were being brought against me in the state of CA for loan fraud. Yes, I did one of those online payday loans. However, they have been directly deducting payments from my account, which I told the guy and also asked if they are being paid thru automatic deduction, then how am I in defualt. He would just keep repeating the same old speal about how he could try to take care of it for me.

I need help! I currently have 6 payday loans as well as 1 loan from Check n GO that is considered an installment loan and is eating me alive. I have set up EPP's with 4 of the payday loans to begin this Friday, Aug 19. But, I don't have the money to pay them. Should I stop payment on the ACH's that are set up (it would be cheaper than paying the loan payments)? Then I can deal with them later. I am seriously considering bankruptcy. I am just at my wit's end. Some people have advised me to close my bank account and just quit paying them.

Long story short, when I was 18 in 2006, I signed a private loan for school with my step father as a co-signer. We knew nothing about loans for school, so now I regret this. Anyway, we were going through AES for my loan. After my first year, I had no means to keep paying for school and had no credit to take out a loan. I was scared to do it alone and my mom and step dad went through bankruptcy, so I took 6 months off. I paid the first few payments due, then lost my job. I knew nothing about forebearance, I was just a kid. In 2007 I got a new job and went back to school part time.

Has anyone every gone through progpayoff.com??? They do loans up to $500 and the interest rate is FAR better than a payday loan. I have looked online and can't find reviews for them. Thank You!!!

I currently have the following storefront payday loans in Iowa: Advance America - $500 Check n Go - $500 EZ Pawn (previously Mister Money) - $500 Fast Cash - $500 EZ Money - $500 PDL (Davenport Check Cashers) - $500 The Cash Store - $1900 (IL loan that is licensed to lend in IA) I feel like I am a smart person....but when I look at what I have racked up in PDL's I don't feel very bright at all. The cycle is so hard to get out of.
