Does anyone have any information regarding Cash Yes being legal?

Last year I filed a CH7 BK, but I did not include my home. My home is in Nevada and it has a primary mortgage and a HELOC both from Wells Fargo that were done at the same time in order to purchase the home. During the CH7 process, Wells Fargo wanted me to reaffirm the HELOC debt. I did not do this by the deadline. Now, the CH7 has been discharged. I pay the primary mortgage faithfully, and have payed the HELOC also until 5 months ago. Now, the HELOC is in default and WF tells me I can not get the payments current and that the amount is now due in fukll (on the HELOC).

Last week I rec'd a call from Tracy Smith of Harris and Associates, claiming that I owed them $500 for a payday loan I took out and never re-paid. When I asked for a DV letter, they said they could only send it to my e-mail, not regular mail. When I rec'd the e-mail, it had a word document attached, which gave me an address. I sent them a letter requesting they validate the debt. I sent it Certified, Return, Receipt. Cost me $6.00 at the Post Office.

I currently have 4 payday loans outstanding - all taken from online lenders (no storefronts). They are: Cashnet USA, EZ Payday Cash, Plain Green Loans, and Payday One. I am in Ohio. I cannot keep up with paying for these so it was recommended that I close my account and then try to work with them on a payment plan. First of all, are they legal in Ohio? I was told that Online Lenders are not regulated by my State's Finance Department (this shocked me!) I am totally willing to pay them all back, I just need to do it on my terms. Please help - anyone!:confused:

In the FAQ's page in the office of Finance for LA it says: I???m an out of state consumer lender. Do I need a license?Consumer lenders with physical locations in Louisiana qualify for licensure. Others do not. I read in an earlier post that it is not legal for internet PDLs but I'm not sure in regards to this statement. Does this mean that they need some kind of address in the state to loan money?

I have a balance on a couple credit cards under $2,000 total. The collection company will not under any circumstances go lower than 65% of the total. The agency is collection on behalf of First Premier Bank so they don't own the debt. On the phone I got nowhere, and in my settlement letter 30% got me nowhere. Should I wait for the debt to be sold and wait to try my luck with the new owner, or should I write another settlement letter. Any advice

Hayt, Hayt,and Landdau are in fact Attorneys, I have a civil court date for credit card debt I owe Capital one. They will not work with you on settling your debt they tell you what they want there is no negotiating with them they told me 85% of the amount to settle or 20% down and 150.00 a month with continuing interest charges. I had other credit cards that did 50% of the amount . They keep telling me it's what Capital One Want's. I offered them 1800.00 that's more then 50% of what I owe and they told me no.

hi I sent a letter to this collection agenecy a couple month's ago just received a letter back of copies of my citi bank bills so what should i do I know I have 30 days to look over the statements but I really don't know what to do now should I file something all they did is sent me statements and it took them a couple months... please help me anyone, only income is my unemployment and I only own my car lost my home.:confused:

Back on February 7th of this year, I made the unfortunate mistake of taking a pay day loan out with Great Sky Cash. The original loan amount borrowed was $300.00. Since then, I have paid a total of $651.00 dollars. I wasn't really paying attention to my checking account but, I kept seeing these charges for $90.00 twice a month, and when I found out what they were for that's when the red flags went up.

Hello, I've been on these forums before. I tried to sign in to post up on the forums and it's telling me my real last name and first name and middle initial. I don't want this showing up when I post up on the forums. Secondly, I tried to re-register thinking that would help so I could change my name, it won't let me do that either. I enter the code, it says kindly enter the code. I'm entering it exactly as it says on the page, it's still giving the message to kindly enter the code.
