i need help.....i have a lot of debt i am not working full time anymore and the l&i checks are not enough and i feel like i am drowning between me and my fiance we have 6 credit cards and a large lawyer bill is there anything that can be done?????

Hi, I currently have 2 payday loans open (internet loans). 1. Ace Cash Express $650 principal ; 196.00 fee due next week 2. Mycashnow.com $ 668 including fees due next week I am unable to pay these back right now due to major financial issues. I am interested in debt consolidation but I don't know if thats a bad idea or not. I am considering closing my accounts and defaulting on the loan to try a repayment program, but I am unsure of the legal issues that my cause.

My question is a fairly simple one. I have several private loans through Sallie Mae, one of which was co-signed by a relative as I was only 16 at the time it was agreed upon. If I were to go into default due to non- or partial-payment of my monthly bill, would this status be reflected on all of my loans, even if my co-signer had been making the full scheduled monthly payments on their particular loan?

When the lease on my toyota ended in April 2010, I had mileage overage owed in the amount of $3954. Toyota/Lexus contacted me and offered a payment plan of $165/month for the next 24 months. No interest, no fees, no formal contract, just an agreement letter which they mailed me. First payment was made on 6/21/10 and all consequent payments were made in timely matter. Although this loan is current and has never been in default, I received a letter several weeks ago from a CA informing me that Toyota Motor Corp has authorized them to collect this debt.

Does any one know anything about this company? I got a letter today from them saying......... This office represents the above named client, Equable Ascent Financial- TA01, who placed the above-styled matter for collections. This is a demand for full payment because you have had ample time to pay your debt. Sometimes we can arrange installment payments but you must contact this office for arrangements.

how much do you charge for helping me

I have over 90k in federal student loan debt and simply cannot repay these back ever with my income earning potential. I am thinking about defaulting and trying to get Sallie Mae to do a lump sum settlement. Given that it's a federal loan, Sallie Mae will recover all of the $ from my loan. My question is, is it a good idea to default, let my loan go to a collection agency and then negotiate a settlement amount with the collection agency? How much of a nightmare will this process be? And how much do you think they will settle for?

On 05/31/11 I received my billing statement. On it I found charges I did not make. One was for $14.99 charged to me on 05/05/11, the other $87.56 charged to me on 05/11/11. I tried to call and find out why I was being billed for purchases I did not make. All I got was an automated system that sent me in circles. And no way to get to a live person plus nothing on the menu dealing with my problem. I was told by their legal department that I had bought (protection) for the $14.99. I promise you all I did was visit their online billing site to see what my balance was. So much for protection.
