I made the mistake of taking out a cash advance. Then my wife had to have surgery and am now way behind. I borrowed 1250 and have paid $500 on it total. My checking account is in NY, but I live in OH. Moved and did not change the account. I want to pay the debt, but the amount they are asking for is more than I can afford at this time with changes in my life. What steps should I take?

Maybe Im a little slow today, but... Im not understanding the Laws in my state. Michigan 15% 1st $100 14% $101-$200, 13% $201-$300, 12% $301-$400, 11% $400-$600 + fee 375% according to these, the "illegal" PDLs I have involvements with are following the law... Except, they are charging a fortune... Im under the wing of Ameriloan (internet) for $400...

Do you smell blood in the water with Allied Interstate? When there is blood in the water, sharks follow the blood scent to eat the bleeding creature. A few years ago Allied Interstate was considering bankruptcy. Apparently, there is not much money ("blood") in collecting money from poor people. They received financing from one of their clients to keep them in business, so they could continue harassing poor people for blood. The creditors are keeping them afloat. Isn't it nice that Allied Interstate can take bankruptcy and get out of their debts, but they will harass debtors to the grave. Oh!

I defaulted on my ace cash express loan, it has been two years. Today I get a threating phone call from someone telling me I'm going to be filed, sued, etc. Does anyone know if they will follow through. My loan was $600. I live in Texas.

I got this payday loan from pepper cash didnt even ask for it now they are threating me and im not sure what to do. what i have read they arent even legal.

I have 6 payday loans, totaling $2100. Living in Indiana, all are internet based loans and I know at least two of the companies are based in other countries. I have closed my bank account today - to recapture my paycheck, and pay the all important house payment. I have discussed with two Payday debt consolidation companies the possibility of using thier services - however their fee for 12 months is not cheap and I am not sure of the effectiveness of thier services. What would be the steps I would need to take to handle these on my own? Step 1 - 2 - 3, etc.
