I'm trying to settle a debt with AMEX. They've passed me around to several different collection agencies over the past few months. For each one, I've refused to speak on the phone to them and have sent them a debt settlement proposal, also asking them to stop calling me. In each case, the CA has stopped calling. And then shortly thereafter, AMEX has assigned it to a new CA. The debt is no with First Source. I've sent them two separate settlement proposals over the past few months, requesting a response in wirting. But I have gotten no response from them.

I need to delay settling my debt with BofA because I simply do not have any money to settle right now. My card is at 160 days and I've already received a letter saying that if I don't pay them $357 now, it'll get charged off. My goal is to delay this until next year when I put my apartment on the market. Should I just pay this amount so that I could reset the clock? Does anyone have other alternatives?

I couldn't find anything while searching for them, but has anyone ever received a letter from this law firm looking to represent you for credit card debt? Could I accept this as legit if there comes a time that I might need them?

I am being called by this group that I owe this co. and according to them this was on 2006 which i don't have linked from this company earlier than 2006 I know idid owe that time but paid it, because it was long time ago i don't have the receipt..usually if you owe certain co. it will not be this long wait to collect it. they even threatin me to report to credit bureaus. how will i end this

Hello, I have some questions regarding Ace Cash Services. Thanks in advance for any help. I live in Pennsylvania. Here is my situation with them: Ace Cash Services (not to be confused with Ace Cash Express) - I went to a third party website in May of 2009 (can't recall what the website was) and filled in my information looking for a payday loan. After filling in my information, I closed out of the website because after thinking about it for some time, I did not want to be caught up in any more payday loans.

I live in Pennsylvania. I had a summons sent from this firm for a Citi account there were collecting on. I didn't respond in the 20 day time frame due to extraordinary circumstances I wont discuss here. I was issued a 10 day letter, then a default judgement was passed against me for the full amount owed. I am wondering what my rights are at this point with this company. I called them and was able to set up payment arrangements that might be unreasonable for me to continue for an extended period.

I went through some rough financial times a while back. My home was foreclosed on back in 2003. Now I am receiving collection notice from CBCS collection in regards to the second loan. Am I responsible for this? Is it beyond the statute of limitations. What sort of options do I have? Thanks. I live in CO by the way

Hello I currently have a 572 score and need a 640 to get a loan. I have paid off three collections accounts that will be deleted from my credit report as well as paying of all my cards. Will this be good enough to cause a 68 point jump in my score?

Didn't there used to be a list with loan, credit repair, debt consolidation companies that were rated on this site? I can't find it anywhere....
