Hi everyone, first off this is a great forum! heres my situation... 16,0000-Boa (now with cfg for about 6months) 18,000- usaa (default for 6 months) 3.5k- usaa (current) 3k - chase (current) 1k - kays (current) i want to desperately settle on these accounts but do not have the funds to do so. im now in a position where i can save some cash monthly to be able to in the future along with any tax return monies but i would of course have to not pay on the 3 cards that are current.

If a debt collection agency is awarded a judgement against you can you endorse your checks to someone else and let them return the money to you or is it best to just use a check cashing place? What is the best way to protect your funds from bank levy? Are you even allowed a standard of living in Texas? Let's say your job only does direct deposit then how will you pay your rent if you bank is levied? Also, how long can your account be levied. So, I make 1800 a month and owe 10,000- they can take every dime each month until it reaches 10,000?

I just recieved a voice mail from this company using my maiden name ( I have been married for 18 years) I can't imagine what it could be for and will call them back tomorrow unless you don't think I should, but if there is something from my past that long ago, am I required to pay it? I am in Pennsylvania and currently in bankruptcy..the one where we pay everyone 100 % of everything back so we don't lose our house and so money is tight. Thanks for any advice.

If a judgement is issued against me & only me for a private student loan in Texas, and the creditor can't collect because Texas does not allow garnishments for private TERI backed student loans, then are they able to sue my co-signor after already being awarded a jugement from me? My co-signer does not live in Texas and I was just wondering if the people can be issued two judgements on the same loan?

I have spent years getting right. I have no unsecured debt, I have a 5.25% mortgage, and avarage a 710 on my reports. I want to get all the 10 year old reporting off my reports. What do you advise?

I currently owe the community college here about $850 because of an accident I had with my vehicle which totaled it and I can't apply for financial aid because of it. I lost my transportation and was unable to get to class. I barely kept my job through it. I tried to speak with someone and apply for a withdrawel but the response I got was "you weren't injured so you could have found a way". I know this doesn't sounds like much but I barely make enough to scrape by with my current job. I have been looking for another but have been unsuccessful.

After sending a request to substantiate debt to Alliance Asset Management for their client, Cash Direct Express aka GECC, they have sent ANOTHER letter substantiating debt with a copy of the stupid electronic contract and a demand to pay $778 in full with an enclosed envelope to mail payment. What now??? I am so sick of this. :(

I just wanted to verify that I should probably close out this checking account after my last automatic withdrawal at the end of this month (I get paid this week) and make this a deposit only? Then open another one - same bank ok?
