Hi, I have a unique situation, I used ER services last year from a medical center in FL. I have full medical insurance from my employer and I provided all the details to the Hospital. Now after 8 Month , on April 26 a collection agency called me about a debt of 7000 dollars as the medical bill resulted from Emergency services. Apparently the insurance company denied the claim as a third party claim because of lack of documentation from my side. Now the unfortunately thing in the whole situation is that neither the Hospital nor the insurance company had my correct address on file.

Well I answered back my summons from Equable Ascent Financial, LLC and their lawyers. Now my question is how do I go about filing a motion of discovery for proof of debt in California? Also I am wondering what specific items should I be asking for? Are there time restrictions with motions of discovery? Also is there anyway , in California, of postponing a court date for a later time? Any comments would much appreciated.

I've come across situations where the suggestions on this forum can sometimes make it worse for someone trying to rid themselves of debt. One example would be those that say to not make the first payment until you first get a settlement letter. So far, Citibank DOES NOT submit this letter until one makes the first payment. Secondly, Citibank will not report the settlement to the credit bureaus as "paid in full", rather "settled in full".

Hi Everyone, I have gone overboard on my payday loans and I cannot keep up with the bi-weekly withdrawn being deducted from my bank account. My situation right now is I am current with all of my payday loans, (6) of them, and my next withdrawn date is next week. My plan is to repay all of them back, but i need more time and also a lesser amount deducted each time from my bank account. I reside in the state of Virginia and I have read on this forum that it is illegal for internet payday loans to pursue the interest charges, only principal amount needs to be paid back.

The address provided on this forum for BofA is very vague. Does anyone know how to get the address where the Customer Assistance Dept is? I can't find their address on their own website.

I don't know if it is the same group, but there was a lady that has called me from Frontier Financial and let me know that they have one of my accounts that has not been paid since the beginning of March and is pursuing to sue me. I have the account in a management program to make payments through another financial company (who originally had it). The original financial company returned the money and mentioned the account went back to the creditor who now has it sitting under a different financial company than where she is at (if this all makes sense).
