Debt collector is garnishing my wage illegally. How to do it.

Is it upto me or the bankruptcy lawyer will consider whether Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 is suitable?

I have been reading a lot on here and decided to join. I have many payday loans out including tribal loans. I have sent one of the letters on here to one of the tribal lenders. I got a response from them shortly after. Here is what they said: Thank you for your communication. Hello-I've had previous loans with plain green llc with extremely high interest rates. I have been reading that they are an illigal tribal lender. I currently have a loan with them but I've already paid my principal and am no longer able to pay the high biweekly payments. Is it true they are illegal in the state of California? I took out 3 installment loans with tribal lenders in desperation to help pay for a very expensive dental surgery. I have paid $6000 for $3200 in loans and still owe $1000, all interest. I recently found out that these loans are illegal in Massachusetts, as are all payday type loans. I followed the advice on this site and stopped the ACH payments with my bank and opened a new checking account. I sent emails to all 3 lenders revoking ACH and wage assignments, plus asked for a refund of all the interest I have paid.

Recently, I applied for Citi Diamond Preferred Card, but my application was rejected straightway. I was told that my credit score is too low. I checked my credit report and found that there are a couple of unpaid credit card accounts. I borrowed $1000 from Liberty Group and $500 from Zip 19 in 2015. I didn’t see these lenders on my credit report. Can you tell me why? Should I contact these lenders and pay? Credit card accounts have been assigned to debt collection agencies. I owe $7500 on one account and $6000 on another account. What should I do?

Currently have loans with 5 payday loan companies. I have been reading what to do on here but I feel so confused. What is the first thing I need to do? I know I need to close bank account & furnish revocations of ACH to accounts. Is this correct? Then do I send the letters telling them I'm not going to pay the rest of the ridiculous interest? I am confused and afraid I will not do things in the order needed. Could someone please post the exact order of steps I need to take? Thanks Kathy
