my son took a payday loan with Lakota Cash. I found out they are illegal in our state. He sent them a letter regarding this and they still are trying to debit his checking account, resulting in hundreds of dollars of NSF fees. They try at least twice a day to debit his account. They are threatening to garnish his wages. Can they do this?

capitol one credit card bill went to court and is now a lien on the house. Suttell and Hammer are debt collectors. Is it ok to call them and ask for settlement to clear lien? what pit falls am I facing?

I got a email response from the BBB regarding the complaint I filed against Detex Agency & Associates. You all remember the illegal collection company the mypaydayloan.com sent to get me. They have not responded to the complaint but they told me in the email if I get any kind of communication from them to contact them immediately. Wow how can you be legal but not respod to a complaint? Really?:?

recieved a call that was blocked, requesting me to call 855-212-9415 with a case number...recieved it again as a voicemail on my cell and was told this man named paul landin was coming to find me to serve me papers...do they actually call and notify you that you are being served....i am scared

so i have a debt through wells fargo it is real close to being charged off, I talk to them every 2 weeks..I have been giving them money every 2 weeks and i am getting no where with my debt. My question is if I am giving them money showing that i am trying to get ahead can they still charge off my account?? my plan was to go in the bank every friday and give them what i can but if there still going to charge it off then why try. hope you can help..

I have been inundated by NCO Financial on a credit card debt dating back to 2006. The credit card company refused to negotiate a lowering of the interest rate in 2006 & again in 2007 even after I explained that due to personal and professional issues, I would not be able to keep making the minimum payts. Since then, I have been repeatedly getting calls...3 times a day...to home, portable phone....and finally have had enough. Last night, NCO called at 6:15 and was told by others that I was not available and the phone was hung up.
