Hi I received a call tday from a company called Capital. Phone number 1-888-360-9690. It sounds like they have some of my information and they said that they sent me a letter regarding the debt to my address. I don't remember this letter. They told me that if I give payment info, electronic check or card, that it will show that I'm willing to set up a plan to pay it back and then they will resend the letter that was sent to me before. This will stop the lawsuit as they said.

They called me today and threatened me that if I didn't make an immediate payment that they would put negative information on my credit report that would affect me for seven years. When I told them I did not owe "Mystery Guild" and hadn't done business with them in over ten years she became even more rude and threatening. I called "Mystery Guild" and they confirmed that I owe them nothing and hadn't done business with them in years. The Guild told me the next time they call to ask for a CLIENT NUMBER.

I have had an account with Beneficial Finance since 2004. The current balance of the loan is 11,442.68. I stopped making payments about 150 days ago because I could no longer afford their high rates and pay my regular household bills. I have since tried to negotiate a settlement with them, first by letter, then by telephone calls. I was told that the account would be overviewed by a "supervisor" who would then look at my payment history and contact me. That is the last I heard from them.

I was thinking of employing this company PFS to perform a debt settlement, but after reading some of the negative responses, It sounds like a shady operation.

Maybe I am in a bad mood but I have to ask...why do my posts keep needing to be reviewed by moderators and then posts by bottom dweller/humanoid/whatever posts make it through? Sorry, I am just tired of my posts not showing up because they are being "reviewed" by forum moderators. :(

I am in the middle of talking with the collection agency Rausch, Sturm, Israel, Enerson & Hornik. They have debt that I do owe from Discover Card in the amount of 13K. They have come down to a payoff of around 6500. My question is I would like to get my credit report to show "paid as agreed" with a $0 balance showing as owed. This CA said they have no say in this and do not work with the credit place. They did say they would give me a letter saying this account is settled and no longer owe on it. Do I then talk to Discover directly to have them report it as paid with zero balance?

what happends after you recieve the responce of validation of debt from the collection company

I have 5 total pay day loans out. they constantly are calling me telling me that if I do not call them back in 24 hours they are taking me to court and pressing wire fraud charges on me along with doing wage attachments. They call my work almost every half hour and also my cell phone every hour. One is Beacon---paid $50 a week for the last three months only had a $200 loan ABC Auto Loan paid $75/wk for 2 months and only had a $200 loan Ameri Loan-Had a $300 loan paid $110 a week for a month City Cash--I forget this loan Western Sky had a $200 loan paid $350 back so far.
