Help! I have an online payday loan with pay-day-yes and I need them to stop calling me. I've already had a hard block done on my checking account. I want to try and recoup some of the money they withdrew. Took out a $350 loan with them and they have withdrawn over $800. I have about 80,000 dollars of student loans.... 10 months derferrment for unemployment...my dad wants to pay it off in full now.....lump some...now isnt it better if the money is pay through me for a real boost to my 760 credit score or is it better he just pay directly.....or perhaps I pay for like a year monthly 80, 000 divided by 12 months, and my dad would transfer money into my account showing positively on my credit.....??? I would really appreciate your help in this matter

I was called by the collection agency of payday loans telling me they were going to come to my house and arrest me in front of all my neighbors. They were going to call and notify my employer about my situation. That I was totally irresponsible and a low life. They told there names were Joe and Jack Shawn. It sounded like a boiler room. I am scared they are going to try and take my house from me. I live in the state of texas. I can't afford any company to put a lien against my house.They were going to garnish my wages from Social Security and my employer. I live on next to nothing.

My mom insists she did not co-sign private student loans for my nephew or his mother, my brothers ex wife. For my nephew the 1st student loan was in 2003, no payments made, for his mom she made a couple of payments in 2008. I looked up private student loans SOL in California and I think it is 4 years. I did contact an attorney for mom and he told me to just ignore it, they can get a judgement against her, but that the reality is they can't collect. Her home is protected by The homestead act, she gets social security and a pension from our deceased father.

Hello. My Sallie Mae loan is to the point where they are keeping my tax returns and garnishing my wages. I am sure I have no recourse on this and have just gotten into the mind set to live with it until it stops. However my boyfriend is now in to the point where they will be going to garnish his wages in the near future and we we're hoping to use his tax return to make a one time payoff. His loan has already been sold to a 3rd party company. His balance is up around $4500. Is there a good way to negotiate a lower pay off amount?
