I had several illegal PDL's I took the advice of this website and the Oregon Attorney General's office and emailed letters stating that I knew that these loans were illegal and due to the fact that I had paid interest in exess of the loan amount, I would not pay them any more money. I received letters form HZB Financial Services stating that they purchased my debt and I have 30 days to dispute the validity of the debt. I need to know how to respond to them disputing the validity.

I have been dealing with the group since last summer 2010 when I got the phone call stating I owed money on textbboks from 2005 or 2006 That they were hired to collect the debt of 300 plus dollars. After a rude harrassing conversation that was going nowhere plus threats to harm my credit score I ageed to send them $20 every 2 weeks. Ofcourse they tried to arm wrestle me on the phone to caugh up more and the more they become insulting to my character the more I declined.

Hello All Longtime lurker, first time poster. I stupidly had my girlfriend get 3 payday loans back in December. We are from NH where the law states the MAX interest should be 1.36 per 100 i believe, but we are getting charged much more than that. Up to 30 per 100. The three companies are 500FastCash - Borrowed 350, paid 90 Signmyloan.com - Borrowed 150, paid back a chunk not sure exaclty how much Payday Loan Yes - Borrowed 350 paid 90 every week for a month and a half. She gets paid every week and 500FC and signmyloan take out bi weekly.

I am in the state of wisconsin and am in major trouble. OPayday Loans have taken over my life I seriously pay 615.00 every 2 weeks and am unable to pay any other bills.

I got a summons / Complaint on Contract plus Plaintiff's Request for Admissions to Defendant from lawyers of EQU&BLE A553NT a few days ago. They are a junk debt buyer. No contract, or any document for that matter was attached. Is anyone here familiar with court rules in Georgia? My question is, can I file a Motion to Dismiss in Lieu of an Answer since they failed to even include a contract or agreement with the complaint? Or should I just file the usual answers and then ask for it in discovery? Thanks in advance for any help.

One party has sent us the debit note of Rs:2000 but mistake is not from our end. In this case what will be the answer to this?

Received a letter with a blown out amount with no record of account #. Less than 2 weeks later we received a summons to appear. I am sending a Verification letter tomorrow but the court date is next Wed. I was told to Answer the summons before the court date and tell the judge that we are waiting for verification to see if this is even our account. The Summons states plaintiff as Ozark Capital Corporation Assignee of Chase Bank USA, N.A. Am I going in the right direction? Is there anything I am missing? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Lighthouse Recovery keeps calling me for an old payday loan from 2008. I honestly don't know if I've paid the original creditor, PDL Ventures. I had numerous calls from either LRA or Powell Law Offices today, from numerous numbers. I live in Illinois and they were calling from a St.Louis area code. PDL Ventures is an online payday loan. They said they sent me a letter sometime in 2010, so I asked them to send me another to verify the validity of the debt. They refused to send me anything by mail, instead scanned a letter and sent it to me in email format.

I live in California and am being threatened by the stupid payday loan companies that I took loans out for. I currently have 7 I believe here they are.
