Dealing with Capital One, I am 48 hours from charge off. I have been out of work since last May and everything got behind, lost my house, moved my kids and I in with my parents, and last week my engine blew in my vehicle. Sad to say all of that is true. Anyway, once I was finally able to deal with Cap One, I went back and forth many times. FIRST in many phone conversations, they refused to send/fax me a settlement agreement letter. It took many phone calls to finally get them to agree to fax one to me.

I have 3 internet payday loans with Speedycash amount owed (principal) 475.00 Cashnetusa (principal) 180.00 AceCashExpress (principal) is 150.00. I am in Louisiana and have seen conflicting stories on the forum about Speedycash and Cashnetusa being legal payday lenders here. I went to the office of financial institutions website and did not see either one of them licensed in my state. I can no longer afford to pay anymore and am unsure what to do next. I have talked to my bank and am closing my account and reopening another.

My question is - my original creditor was Providian - then it went to collections, I believe it's CACH, LLC now and then it went to the Law Offices of Brian K. Levy which then turned into the Law Offices of Joe Pezzuto. I get this letter that looks like some sort of legal document that's from a lawyer or the courts or something making it look like I'm in a lawsuit. Can this "law office" collect a debt for another collection agency who was not the creditor?? Thanks

I have a collection notice from First National Collection Bureau, Inc. I am alarmed by the info I have read about fraudulent debt notices they have been sending out. Good Afternoon, I orginally got a loan from PayDayOne for 500.00. I paid them 283 then I went default. Now my loan is with the collection agency Lighthouse Recovery/Powell Law Office. Am I entitled to pay the 810.94 they are asking for? I'm in TN and with the PDL laws then I'm only entitled to pay 530.00. I have sent them a validation letter and they sent me a letter stating that I owe 810.94 and that I needed to make arrangements or they will sent it possibly further. What can I do?
