I called last week to ask if they would help me work something out. I tried to explain to them that I won't be able to start paying them until 3/15...they kept saying that it had to start 2/28. I got them to make it 6 payments but they still insisted on 2/28. I was like "What part of "I don't have the $$$" do you not understand??". Anyway, the only way they will accept payment is in the form of a prepaid debit card...this makes me very uncomfortable still. Does anyone have any positive dealings with CashNetUSA? And if so, what did you do?

Hello- I have read much of the information here, and before I even start, I would like to thank "Soap Lady" as just from reading the other posts I have learned much. Here is my situation. I have private loans with key bank that have just recently gone into default. I realize that I cannot call the collectors and settle for pennies on the dollar, which was my first hope before I found this forum. Here are my questions: 1) My mother is the co-signor on the key bank loans. She has already told me that she will pay off my bad debt and allow me to pay her back with interest over time.

Hi all, I settled all my debts by December 2010 and my credit reports showed "settled" in most of my credit card accounts. However, I still have 30, 60, 90, 120 days in my report before I settled and I want to apply for an auto loan within the next 3 months with my credit union because my car is on its last leg. My scores are 575 with Equifax, 562 with Transunion accord to myfico. I currently have one active autoloan and several small credit cards that are paying on time. Utilization is around 66%.:) How long should I wait after settlement to apply for another loan?

Hello all, Sadly last year out of desperation during a very difficult time I took out two payday loans. Now, I have been paying on the for a year, paid well over my borrowed amount and have even done a complete payoff on them. However, they still say I owe money, and continue to pull money out of my account. So, I am going a drastic route and closing my bank account and sending a letter similar to the one outlined to send on this forum. However, before I do this I have a quick question, the two lenders were PDLNOW and National Payday.

I am currently a defendant in a suit brought forth by Plaintiff Midland Funding LLC, original debt was with Beneficial in 2004 involving a credit line/credit card that I paid off in 2006. I'm 100% positive that I have fulfilled my obligations to Beneficial. I called Beneficial in reference to the account in question only to find out that this account is in negative reporting on my credit as a charge-off; Beneficial only directs me to call MidLand Funding LLC who then directs me to call the attorney handling this account.

My fiance' hasn't worked at all this past year and I support her and her child from another father.. she received a 1099c from a credit card settlement and I need to know if she has to file on her own or if I can still claim her and her child as qualifying relatives:confused:

Hello, I have two credit cards in collections from 2009. I have moved a lot since then, and have not received phone calls or mail from either collector. But I do have their phone number and address from my credit report. One is for around $1300, and the other only $600.00. I was wondering if it be best to initiate contact through mail or phone first, as I would like to validate the debt , and then try to get a "pay for deletion" on each card. I would be willing to pay it in full, if they would agree to do this.
