Hi all, I just got a call from the Advanta collectors (Cardworks) since my partner missed the last payment and I am the "guarantor" for the account. We are part of the 35% interest rate scam that Advanta foisted on so many small businesses and now $800 per month goes to interest for these crooks. The agent offered a "one-time" offer of reducing the interest from 35% to 0% if I made a $8,500 payment by the next due date.

How do I go about consolidating my Credit Card Debt into one sum to negotiate payment? I'm talking about 15K worth of debt...

Can a processor leave a summons for me with a co-worker?

My bank was so friendly and understanding. They put a hard hold on my account, and opened a new one. The established a one way ACH deposit only from old account to new account. They reassured me repeatedly that the old account could NOT be reopened, and that they would have no access to the new account unless I gave new authorization to do so. So...now what?
